Excellent rural area but well connected by an hourly bus to Lake Titisee. Other services available if required Hotel is only a 20 minute mostly downhill walk to Lake Titisee but steep uphill back. Hence bus recommendation. We had a comfort room with a balcony big enough for 2 chairs supplied with cushions. Good size room. The mattress was a little hard for our taste. The location was perfect - lovely hotel in the country. The aesthetics of the hotel suited the locale. The food was superb and the dining ambience (both inside and outside) made for an even better gastronomic experience. The family are professionals in service. The room was ok. There were 3 things I was not so comfortable with: - there were only 2 shade curtains which were not wide enough to span the windows so facing the east, sunlight crept in too early. - There was a tv but way too large...

All of the hotel was spotless, the staff were great and thier english was better than my german. When i return to explore the area more i shall defimatley stay here again 🙂

Smart room with good amenities including mini fridge. Car parking in covered garage joined to hotel at a reasonable cost of €7 per day. Excellent breakfast buffet and friendly helpful staff.

Set in an isolated location in the Black Forest, this Guest House was one of the best we had ever stayed in. Yes, you need a car to find it, but its worth it. On arrival, the car park was full by locals who were using the restuarant that had an excellent reputation. Greeted by the owner who showed us to our room. It was very large and had a seating area and bedroom. The only critism I have was that there was no kettle, coffee etc. Would I recommend this Guest House, most definately.

Great location. Great room with cooking facilities. Owners super friendly and helpful. Little English but we communicated without issue on my limited German. Lovely area. Would certainly recommend staying here.

Best hotel room during my stay in Germany. Lovely and friendly family run hotel. Just note there is no lift/elevator. Restaurant was nice and busy too.

This hotel was second to none ,we arrived early from strasbourg, the lady who owned hotel gave us a room right away and a map and told us where we could park in Freiburg for shopping ,when we came back later she gave us directions into mountain and forest which is amazing ,the hotel was lovely ,the room very cosy and homely,very quiet ,breakfast plentiful, the girl asked us if we would like scrambled or boiled egg, the lady owner spoke great English ,which was a great help as we were Scottish...

Very nice room with a beautiful view. Loverly hot shower and the use of a washer/dryer. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful

Very comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast and a good restaurant. Very new and clean. But it’s a bit out of town so best with a car.
