Snowgrass Lodge - A River & Mountain Retreat

  • Snowgrass Lodge lies on four forested acres above the Wenatchee river, with majestic views of the Cascade Mountains, sprawling lawns, and beach access just steps away, Snowgrass is a welcome retreat within walking distance of the golf course and downtown Leavenworth. Perfect for family gatherings and group events, this vacation rental is your home base for exploring all that the Leavenworth has to offer. NOTE: We welcome small weddings limited by our max daytime occupancy of 16 guests.

    The 7,000-square-foot timber frame lodge 4 private bedrooms and 4 additional sleeping areas on 3 floors of rustic beauty, a grand living room with a stunning cathedral ceiling and river rock fireplace, and a kitchen to inspire any chef. From fireside seating to cozy lounges, you’ll find spaces on every floor for relaxing with family and friends. Outside, a hot tub beckons, and the wrap-around deck lets you dine in full view of the river.

    Ideally located a mile from town (1.5 miles from city center), Snowgrass is the place to stay to experience the beauty of the Leavenworth area. From Oktoberfest and Christmas tree lighting festivals, to river rafting in summer (you can even float to downtown from the lodge!), Snowgrass is your home in nature.

    We the owners live in a small cabin next door, so we will likely be around. Feel free to connect with us if you need anything. Also for guest safety, we've have a security system with two outdoor-only video cameras and an indoor motion sensor.

Great getaway

We had a lovely time in Leavenworth for spring break. Our family had so much room to spread out and enjoy the scenery. Our kids loved that we could walk to the river. Great stay all around!

Thanksgiving stay

Book this place! Super comfortable, lots of room, kitchen was enormous and easily accommodated many cooks in the kitchen. There was space to gather 13 people together as well as space to break away for some quiet time. Town is very close, you can walk there if you want. Highly recommend

Beautiful Home, great location

The kitchen was very well stocked, everything we needed and more was available. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is plenty of room to spread out, the master suite bathroom is amazing. The cons: hot tub wasnt covered and the trees were dumping huge snow clumps all over us, so really couldnt use it. The fireplace downstairs didnt work (brrr) and the main living area furniture was pretty dated for such a grand room.

Wonderful Vacation

Thank you so much for a wonderful girls trip. It was helpful to have 2 bedrooms on the one level for our two older women. Very close proximity to town but still quiet, peaceful and beautiful. You can see the river next to the house. We were lucky enough to get some snow and have the true and just beautiful White Christmas. We had 2 four wheel drive vehicles for our group which I think is a must during the snow season. We traveled from Seattle to Leavensworth and rented cars. Just drive slow and no worries. The driveway was plowed everday and our gracious host even cleared off our vehicles. When it comes to the downtown area, we went on the weekend for the full Christmas experience. It was very busy on Saturday with long waits but still doeable. Sunday was a little slower. Monday you can get in and out for the most part but you wont experience the weekend performers. Lots of carolers and costume characters to photograph with as well. Great little sled hill for the kids, Wonderful shops and resturaunts. Once you get your bearings its a hop, skip and a jump :) I highly recommend this property for bigger groups. Well spread out for separation but when it comes to the gathering area its stunning. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. :)

Family Vacation

Beautiful home located in perfect location for seeing downtown, hiking, river. House as almost everything for making meals, save for a lack of drinking glasses. Our only complaint was the listing promised a hot tub, but it was not in working order during our stay--we were told once we arrived. The host allowed use of their own, which was kind. Unfortunately, not everyone felt comfortable going to their place. Missed having this as a way of connecting with each other.

Romantic Mountain Lodge

My husband and I used this loge for our very simple wedding in May. We chose this lodge for it's open living room and dining room. I wanted a space that would work for a rainy day ceremony so that I wouldn't have to worry about weather. There was plenty of rooms for my family to stay in the night before and the next two days. We both just invited our immediate family (about 30 people in all). We set up the three large dining tables in the foyer for our meal and used the variety of chairs in the living room for our ceremony. Afterwards we played yard games out in the front yard. I LOVED this lodge and am so happy we chose this as our venue for a small family wedding.

Family 1st Trip to Leavenworth

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it online. Driving into the driveway, we just knew it was going to be a magical experience. We arrived after dusk, and the house stood welcoming, beautifully decorated for the holidays. This was a wonderful surprise! My grandchildren squealed with delight as they saw the Christmas tree shining through the window. My daughters and I got emotional entering the house. It sounds corny, but true. We knew booking this house was the best decision to spend some much needed family time. The floor plan was great. Plenty of room to cook, dine, play games, and sit and relax. Lots of common space, but still nooks to sit and read. This is a large house, yet still feels cozy. Oh, and the view from the windows? Magnificent! We loved listening to Christmas music from the speaker system. The kitchen was fully stocked. You could find every gadget you'd need cook any gourmet meal. The bathrooms and bedrooms had all the essentials including plenty of fresh towels. The check-in and check-out went without a hitch. Our only regret was that we wished we had stayed longer and that it had snowed while we were there. My grandchildren are still talking about "Grandma's Christmas House". (I'm sorry, I didn't have the heart to tell them it wasn't mine!) We cannot wait to rent this wonderful home again. For longer next time, so we can enjoy more of the amenities such as the outdoor grounds and the hot tub! And spend a bit more time in town since we didn't want to leave the house! Thank you so much for your hospitality. It was truly a magical experience.

We chose this large, well-located home for a family getaway and appreciated the space and layout. Unfortunately, after a few hours several maintenance and cleanliness issues became apparent and detracted from our stay.Specific problems:Kitchens: main-floor oven didn’t work; lower oven door broken and leaking. Several pots and baking trays were stored dirty.Bathrooms: bottom-floor shower curtain rod busted; main-floor sink and shower backed up. Several bathrooms and bedrooms lacked curtains/window coverings, which is a privacy concern because the owner’s house is adjacent and overlooks parts of the property.Electronics: multiple TV issues —one unusable, another had a damaged screen, others weren’t connected.Furniture: sofas and seating are very worn (sagging springs, flattened cushioning).I spoke with the owner in person; he was dismissive, asked us to fix some issues ourselves, and then stopped responding to follow-ups. That poor responsiveness made the stay more frustrating.Overall: the property has great size and location and real potential, but multiple unresolved maintenance and cleanliness issues plus disappointing owner communication made this a poor stay for our family.

Leavenworth bliss

Beautiful home in a great location. We enjoyed the sounds of the Wenatchee River rushing past just below the house, and the lovely view of Snowgrass Mountain. Town is just a 5-minute drive away and there are numerous trailheads for exploration off Icicle Creek Road. We particularly enjoyed the Icicle Gorge Nature Trail which we walked with two babies in backpacks.

Winter Weekend

Lodge is impressive. Large enough for all to spread out or gather for conversation or games. Loved the craftsmanship but into this house. This house was built from love. It has a true warmth.We loved our stay and would recommend and stay again.

Birthday/ family reunion

Great place for our birthday celebration/ family reunion. Excellent for 4-5 couples. Very nice accommodations and amenities. We had a wonderful time and if able will come back next year. Excellent communication with owners. No issues.

Beautiful, huge and cozy

This home had so much room for our 13 family members. The enormous kitchen was perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. Two ovens and two refrigerators was perfect. The view of the mountains, Wenatchee River and beautiful grounds was great for walks and family pictures.

Wonderful birthday getaway

This house is huge! Sits on a beautiful setting by the river with gorgeous Mountain View’s. It has a big driveway to fit numerous vehicles. The interior is grand with wood accents everywhere, tall ceilings, artwork, fireplace is amazing, plenty of areas to sit and relax. The furniture is very comfortable and sometimes holds you hostage. The kitchen is amazing and there is plenty of everything to use. The downstairs is really cute and spacious. Has a kitchen as well. The master suite is incredible! We loved all the space and the shower especially. It even has a mini fridge area. So many little nooks and crannies to discover and admire. The owners are right next door if anything was needed and were very nice! Enjoyed exploring the grounds and the lighted tree at night. Would stay here again. Thank you!

Incredible timberframe home

Overall we had a great stay here. The home is a great size for larger groups wanting to cook, play and stay. The timber frame nature is truly incredible and strikes a little awe in you. As other guests have mentioned, there are numerous articles of furniture that need updating. Also hoping the owners can work on the irrigation of the lawn, because there were multiple areas that were too muddy and wet to allow us to play games, etc with kids outside.
