The owners of this cabin have poured so much love with attention to detail into this retreat so that all its guests feel welcome, inviting and cozy at every turn. If you are looking for a weekend retreat for relaxing, walking, reading a book or visiting with a family member or friend, this is a perfect little escape that will wrap you in comfort and contentment the moment you arrive you simply will not want to leave. Radiant floor heaters, an electric fireplace that is easy to operate, oversized furniture and the unexpected 'light show' that the shower provides (turns color as the water reaches comfortable temperature), is just a treat to experience. The Painted Pony was set up with 'you' in mind, so come give it a ride. When you pull up, you will come upon a slate path leading to a patio under the covered porch. A propane grill is offered for delicious cooking burgers or steaks any time of year to be enjoyed outside on the picnic table. Through the front door, a quaint kitchen area offers a cozy place to cook with a full-sized stove, refrigerator, microwave, double sink, and coffee bar. A glass kitchen table is providing a comfortable eating place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. High ceilings, plenty of windows keep this space bright and open in the living room with comfy oversized furniture, electric fireplace mount and flat screen TV with ROKU perfect for movie nights or conversations over coffee. Two bedrooms one with a queen bed and another with a full of custom storage units and personal touches of decor throughout A full sized bathroom with a double shower, one side has a fun LED light show and the other side hosts a rain shower head. We had a wonderful three-night stay right after the Christmas snowstorm. We ventured into Leavenworth one evening to see the Christmas lights - it was quite crowded. More spectacular than the town of Leavenworth is the surrounding area. We loved the drive from Leavenworth to the cabin - absolutely beautiful. We also ventured over to Lake Wenatchee State Park, a quick drive from the cabin. We enjoyed relaxing at the cabin and working on a puzzle we brought from home. The online pictures were exactly how we found it. The hot tub was amazing!! The only draw back was the hot water tank. It seemed to kick on often at night and it is right next to the bedrooms. We accidentally broke a glass and one of the tables and they were so good working with us when that happened. We loved having the washer and the dryer available to us as well. Our only complaint would be that it's hard to find it from the road! That alone took us about 10 minutes. But, having it off of the road a bit was also wonderful. I wouldn't market the heated floors as it' takes a day to warm up lol But i would would go back to this cabin in a minute! Beautiful area and people. It's a little further from Leavenworth than we would like, but not bad at around a 23 min drive in winter conditions. The house was big enough for two people and dogs, but i wouldn't want to have another couple with us as the bedrooms are rather small for people and luggage. A couple areas in the house weren't as clean as I would expect.. bath rugs didn't seem clean, a used paper towel on the floor on the side of the couch... The hot tub was a great amenity and the washer/dryer made things easier. I like the online customer portal a lot for getting quick information, but it needs updates. Such as it states the property has a sauna (it doesn't unless we didn't find it). But as we weren't expecting to have a sauna, it didn't ruin our trip. The owner does a good job at making the space comfortable for guests. Overall we had a very relaxing time ##### Amanda S. The hot tub was great, the fire pit, the comfy couches, the BBQ, close proximity to the river and Ponderosa Community Park, hiking trails and a quick drive to Plain. We wish we would have brought our Boston Terrier- she would have loved it. 2 complaints: way too friendly of neighbors. We didn't mind the no privacy but it was a bit awkward and I think they and us felt obligated to spark up a conversation. And the beds are not comfortable at all. I think with all the other perks and how the cabin has so much tender love and care put into it that the beds could be a very easy fix. We loved that there were fans in both rooms and the overall size is perfect for our small family! No wasted space at all! The TV and electric fire place super easy to use. The heated floors are perfect!
