Located near the north shore of Lake Wenatchee between Leavenworth Village and Steven's Pass, our family mountain retreat on one acre is quiet, spacious, and comfortable. We have a private swimming pool open for your enjoyment from Memorial Day Weekend through end of September. A covered six-person private hot tub is open for relaxation year-round AND a huge fully fenced large backyard, so lot of space for the dogs to run. Our casually furnished three-bedroom home is set up well for families or 3 couples. Due to local regulation, our occupancy limit is firm at 6 people including children and babies. The finishes and decor are clean and comfortable, not fussy. For your baby's comfort, we have a pack and play, portable highchair, and baby gate available. Our home has a large driveway for off-street parking and has room for a boat trailer. Two spaces under the deck are covered, so no need for scraping car windows in the winter. Entering the home on the lower level, you will find a small family room with wood stove, a large bedroom with queen bed, a full bathroom, and a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer, ski storage and a boot dryer. Upstairs, the open plan living space has its own wood stove. The kitchen is well equipped, and the adjacent dining table is large. A covered front deck extends the living area outdoors in the summer and has a propane BBQ and picnic table for dining al fresco. The master suite feels private and features a king size bed, French doors that lead out to the back deck and bathroom with shower. The second upstairs bedroom has a cozy feel with twin beds, wainscot walls and is next to the second full bathroom. In the fully fenced back yard, you'll find our large 20' X 36' seasonal pool (open summer only) with a diving board and ladder on the deep end and stairs leading into the shallow end. The water is heated to a comfortable 82-84 degrees. Lounge chairs are available for your relaxation on the poolside patio. A six-person hot tub on the covered back deck is open year-round. In the area, summer activities abound. World class hiking and mountain biking trails take you to beautiful alpine waterfalls and lakes. You'll find rock climbing, rafting, kayaking, boating, fishing, golf, dirt biking, river tubing and sightseeing in the immediate vicinity or within a 30-minute radius. Wintertime, this home is great for skiers. Located only 30 minutes from Steven's Pass Ski Resort, you won't miss first tracks. For variety, Mission Ridge Ski and Snowboard Resort is an 80-minute drive East. We were very pleased with Maple Leaf Lodge. Big house, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, quiet location yet close enough to Leavenworth. We loved soaking in the hot tub every night after hiking all day. Lots of hiking options in the area. Would definitely stay here again. ##### jean b. It was clean, with comfortable beds and had plenty of space for the family to spread out. The pool and diving board were thrilling to my three year old who didn't want to leave. It's a bit of a drive to Leavenworth (30 min) so keep that in mind if you plan on dining out there often. We will return. ##### Nick S. Spacious, cozy and clean. We skied at nearby Stevens Pass for a week and this was approximately 35 mins or so away. Kitchen was well-equipped for meals, living room was great for relaxing, and the beds were very comfortable. Hot tub was amazing. Only issue was some vanity lights that burnt out, but the property manager delivered new bulbs fairly quickly. ##### Ryan E. We had such a wonderful time at this vacation home! The kids we're in th pool and hot tub sun up to sun down, we enjoyed BBQ dinners on the front deck and all slept great in the cozy beds! Three bedrooms gives everyone some space, with the master nicely placed at the rear of the house with it's own pool/hot tub access. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and there's lots of room for cooking and prepping. All the furnishings and carpets look brand-new, the beds were very comfortable and the media was a treat for the teens. Thank you for sharing your wonderful vacation home. The house was clean and well stocked. We happened to be there when it was hot thankfully we brought 2 fans and there were 2 supplied. The pool was clean and so much fun for all ages (65 to 4 in our group). The stars at night and the pines trees blowing in the breeze, who could ask for more! We hope to return someday. Leavenworth was fun & a tubing trip was special. Best ice cream cones ever at the Wenatchee State Park Camp store. It was truly a wonderful trip in a beautiful area. ##### rose b. Love whispering pines neighborhood. The house was great. The pool was perfect once the chlorine issue resolved. Would definitely rent again There were a couple of small issues of something sticky on the night stand down stairs and dirty utensils in the drawer in kitchen. While a bit dated, everything was clean, comfortable, convenient, and in good working order. LOTS of towels, (a MUST with the pool), sufficient kitchen/dining ware, pool accessories, and excellent provision of information regarding local amenities, attractions, WIFI, etc. Lots of space to spread out. Our only complaint was no heatpump/AC... not that we would've expected any, but we happened to visit during a heat wave. The temperature was 100+ in the shade daily and it was almost intolerable inside. The whole family slept downstairs in a single bedroom where a blessed rotating fan was provided and no direct sunlight to heat it up during the day. Again, I don't find this a fault of the property, I doubt it would've been an issue any other week of the year - and thankfully there was the pool!! We ended up spending most of the day swimming instead of hiking, horseback riding, or fishing as we had originally planned. The kids had a blast (age 4 and 7) and requested a return visit even though we didn't do any of our planned excursions. We appreciated the alarm on the doors out to the pool - if more in theory than practice. Definitely the right thing to have, especially given the age of our kids, but it got annoying needing to let them in/out and the panic that ensued when inevitably one of us would forget to press the deactivate button. We appreciated the plastic dishes for kids and a closet full of activities/toys/puzzles/games, etc. Locale was great for what we wanted - was a bit of a drive to get to Leavenworth for groceries on initial arrival, but were happy with the selection at the Plain Grocery for incidentals that crept up - not to mention they had GREAT ice cream!
