Loved this home so much! Was not prepared for how many stairs it took to haul groceries up to the kitchen. The space was clean and beautiful. I wish there was a door on the master bedroom and the only other comment is that the hot tub area is not well lit. Would stay here again and again!
We spent a long weekend here with family and it was fabulous! Great location, club house was amazing and it didn’t even feel like you had neighbors. We will be staying again ❤️❤️
The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. We stayed here with a large group of friends and it is definitely spacious and has all of the amenities you would need. We’d love to stay here again sometime.
This house was beautiful! It was so grand driving up to it, but it does have lots of stairs. Home was clean, neighborhood was quiet and it was the perfect getaway home!
Stayed 5 nights with 15 persons total (ages 54 to 1). Facility has lots of space and is equipped nicely. We noted a couple items needing to be addressed and host was quick to reply and send someone to look at. Parking is a little tougher if you drive a larger vehicle but is manageable (we parked 4 vehicles there). Clubhouse and pool was nice.
8 adult couples celebrated our mom’s 70th birthday and our parents 50th wedding anniversary. 4 from ND and 4 from CO it was the perfect halfway meeting point. The house was the perfect size and great location to local attractions.
The cabin is huge and very well kept, and has all the amenities you could need for even an extended stay. Kids enjoyed themselves immensely with a good selection of games (as well as TVs in every room). Beds are numerous and comfortable. The neighborhood is great, and the clubhouse top notch. Convenient location just outside of Lead and right next to excellent hiking, the Gilded Buffalo is a great base of operations for an exciting vacation in the Black Hills.
Home is as advertised. Beautiful setting, modern accommodations quiet and peaceful.
Gorgeous fireplaces inside and out. Plenty of room for everyone, we ended up having 9 people (6 adults and 3 kids)
Can't wait to come back with our Side x Side to hit the trails.
Plenty of restaurants but the kitchen was very nice and the weber grill was great.
Only one drawback not a complaint but my wife and I are getting up there and there are many stairs to climb.
This is a beautiful house. With three floors, there is plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is very nice and had everything we needed. As others have mentioned, there are a lot of steps up to the front door. We found it easier to take our stuff in through the side door on the kitchen level. We were there in fall and rode our bikes to the Mickelson Trail. Looks like it is near skiing for winter. Would definitely stay there again if ever in the area.
Lovely property.....alot of stairs, absolutely loved the outdoor fireplace. Best supplied kitchen we have ever had with our Vrbo rentals.
Only downside, owner showed up twice to load cars into his garage, causing us to jockey our cars to accommodate him. it was also kind of weird that this cabin neighborhood had its own rental association that we also had to deal with. Have only dealt with Vrbo, not an additional agency.
This was the perfect cabin for our family ski trip! We had ten in our group (4 adults, 4 teens and two toddlers). There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The cabin is beautifully decorated & cozy. It was well furnished to meet our needs. The double washer/dryer was a big plus! The hot tub and clubhouse access was a fav for the teens. Definitely needed a 4wd with the amount of snow. Even then had a bit of trouble getting up after fresh snow. They sent someone out to plow again within an hour though and were super responsive with their communication to make sure we had the best stay. There are ALOT of steps so be mindful of that if you have anyone with accessibility issues. 10/10 would recommend!
We truly enjoyed our stay here. The space is beautiful, and we loved the levels of the home. The home had everything we needed and we felt comfortable.
The only hiccup was the pool and the outdoor pool area needed to be cleaned. The pool had clumps of hair in it, there were tons of bugs, and the pool net was broken and had a t-shirt wrapped around it. I contacted management and the let me know the club house was separate from the house we stayed at but that they would try and contact someone. I never heard back. This was not a big deal because our focus was not the pool for this trip. I did want to make mention of this however because if a pool is advertised as a highlight it should be properly taken care of. Especially when pine pollen is so prevalent.
Thank you for a great stay!
We were in town for the National Snocross Event at the Days of 76 Complex. This was a perfect location, close enough, yet you felt like you were up in the hills away from the city. We had our family, and a few crew/friends that traveled with us, for a total of 9 guests. House was clean, enough towels for all of us, kitchen amenities just what we needed. We initially chose this rental for the "pet friendly" aspect, however decided not to bring our fur babies at the last minute. There was a snow storm one of our first days (local school was even cancelled!), 4x4 vehicle was a must to get in and out of the subdivision before the plow was through. Driveway was a bit steep/slick, but once plowed we were able to park up top again. A few local spots we ate at and would recommend: Lewies, That Place in Lead, The Stampmill Inn, Jacobs Brewhouse and The Pump House. The clubhouse was perfect for hanging out as a group, the kids enjoyed the pool during the snow storm. Check in and out were seamless. Any questions we had were promptly answered by the property management company. We will be back next year! So much better than getting separate hotel rooms.
Beautiful place and very clean. Just a few things that were a nuisance, but can be fixed. Be prepared to bring your own fire wood if you want a fire in the fireplace (inside and out) Location: would be better if neighbors weren’t so close. Condition: the tv in the living room was broken, the hand held shower fell on my mother’s head a couple of times it would not stay in the mount. The bed in the guest room on second floor (same floor as kitchen) had a huge dip in the middle. My mom and dad slept terrible the whole visit. The door on the deck would not close, or latch easily, we had to almost slam it to get it to stay shut. Guest services: quick to respond during hours of operation, but a little jaded that there was no firewood when the place boasts about 2 fireplaces but does not provide the firewood. When we texted about it, they said they would bring someone out to drop off firewood, but never did, so i texted where is the best place to get firewood and they texted back we could get firewood in town at a grocery store or gas station. We were surprised it was not provided and a little upset we had to shell out money for firewood. Other than that, the place was beautiful and we had a decent stay there.
