Spruce Tree Retreat is a beautiful, modern, yet rustic, cottage in the heart of Lead with a beautiful view and wildlife surrounding this secluded and quiet street. Spruce Tree Retreat is within walking distance to the grocery store, tavern, and local restaurants. Spruce Tree Retreat is also a prime location for many of the Black Hills most popular activities - just minutes from Deadwood, Mickelson Trail. and Terry Peak Ski Resort, only 20 minutes from Sturgis, and less than an hour from Mt. Rushmoore Monument.

Ski Trip
Brought my family for the weekend for a ski trip, stayed in this house and it was really nice, the upstairs is great for teens and younger kids, not so much for older people, just because you have to go up and down a spiral staircase to be able to get to restroom, but the kids and teens loved it. Everything was great as far as cooking utensils, towels and plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The one thing I didn't like is that there was no broom, I like to be able to sweep and keep things tidy even though I'm on vacation. And also it's a little tricky finding it and not great parking. But if your looking for a nice little house to stay a weekend are a few more days it was perfect

This property was not the one I thought I had rented, it was too late to do any modifications, it was a big weekend in Lead and accommodation where had to come by. Owner was very thoughtful, saw the high temperatures predicted during our stay and had the air conditioning turned on for us prior to arrival. Home was well furnished, lots of towels and washcloths in each bathroom, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well outfitted.

The location worked great for us. There was everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the back yard even during some of the warmest weather their have had in the Hills.

We had a fabulous time staying here. It’s in a great location, the host was amazing, with quick responses to any questions or needs we had. The grocery store and Ace hardware was a block away. We even had a Doe and her baby eating grass right outside the front and back door several times, it was very cool! I would recommend this place to anyone 😁.

Perfect spot for a rodeo trip!
This lovely home is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We have a wonderful, quiet stay and would recommend this house to anyine coming to the Lead/Deadwood area. Danny was very helpfyl with recommendations for restaurants, parking, etc. It helped make this a fantastic vacation trip!
