Though I appreciate feedback, I feel this review deserves some context. This guest never contacted me with any issues or concerns. Rather, they left a day early and asked if a refund would be available for the last day. If they had contacted me before leaving, I would have been more open to the option of a refund. In this case, with less than zero notice, I did not supply a refund. If there were legitimate concerns, I feel they would have contacted me immediately vs. staying 2 days. With regards to specific issues mentioned, I agree the floors are not perfect, but are far from unsafe and are in-line with any building of this age. Also, there are no deadbolts on the doors, as this is a safe quite farming community (there are standard locks on both exterior doors). Cleanliness is something we always take pride in, and hire a professional cleaning staff to clean after every guest’s stay. We also implemented elevated cleaning of touch points since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. I do agree this place is no frills, and is meant to be a quite escape from our busy lives. We take reviews seriously and continue to improve our job as hosts. We also encourage guest to reach out and let us know if there’s anything needed during their stay.
