Camping Le Bel Air

"A spacious mobile home with large, partially shaded deck, bigger than we expected and mainly peaceful in September. However, the units seemed rather close together, and a possible fire risk going forward with dry summers. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed except a bread knife. The Cybele site itself was large and isolated from the local towns. It was very dog friendly.The nearest beach was 3km and the rocky shore less.However there is a reasonable restaurant, take-away, games room, bar and a shop. There was a very diligent (and loud) animations team and there seemed to be something going on all day. The pool complex (with huge flumes outside but unheated) and indoor heated pool with baby pool, lazy river and jacuzzi were an ideal backup for kids in bad weather. However, Les Sable's D'olonne is certainly worth spending some time,( although access is restricted to park and ride for the centre, which is all free) as is La Chaume, on the far side of Les Sables d'Olonne from the campsite."

"Tout était parfait, voire encore mieux que parfait. La maison est très propre, grande, lumineuse, bien localisée à deux pas de la jolie plage du Tanchet qui est visible depuis le salon et de ses paillotes (qui ont été une bonne surprise pour la qualité de la nourriture et de l'accueil).La maison est également très bien équipée, avec tout ce qu'il faut pour le séjour... et même ce dont on avait pas pensé avoir besoin ! (des foutas de plage à disposition dans le placard, ce qui nous a permis de garder nos serviettes de plage pour se sécher ; un sac de plage ; même un petit portemonnaie - dont on a pas eu besoin mais qui est une chouette idée pour aller à la plage avec le minimum nécessaire). Papier toilette suffisant pour toute la durée du séjour, dosettes café, torchons, serviettes, sel, poivre et autres, on ne peut manquer de rien. Le jardin est très agréable. L'accueil par la propriétaire est chaleureux, il m'a même été proposé d'entrer plus tôt car la maison était déjà prête. Absolument aucun point négatif, tout était super."

"Really lovely hotel staff were amazing speaking both French and English. We only used pool once only approximately 8 loungers and obviously it’s indoors so most people go to the beach, a bit of an odd set up as you have to walk through the restaurant to go to the pool. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t use the restaurant. Hôtel is named as pet friendly yet your dog can only be in your room no other areas. Parking was 10 mins away and costs approximately £15 per day there is street parking if you can find a space near by. Everything was of a good standard we were on the 3rd floor with see view very quiet with great views."
