Hotel was fine for our needs. Room was dated but most importantly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location! Underground parking was convenient. As good as the hotel was, the attached bar/restaurant wasn’t at all welcoming. It was around dinner time and the place was empty. The server was put out to have us there. There weren’t any tvs or music playing. Just a dead, lousy vibe… Luckily there are other much better options nearby. We would stay there again and skip the bar/restaurant.

We opted for the Gold plan and loved it! Breakfast was included, small plate appetizers and canapés and then dessert served in an exclusive common room from 5:00. Excellent service. But the hotel needs some refurbishing and updating. The desk chair in our room was literally shredded. This is a premium property. A wonderful and historic and perfectly located hotel. The Fairmount needs to give it some love.

Centrally located, ARC Hotel was great for our get get away in downtown Ottawa. Staff were great, accommodation was good.
