The hotel was real close to nice, sandy beaches that were great for swimming. Lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. I did find the fact there was no parking provided a bit of a hassle.

Great location and lovely staff, the room was clean which is great. However the hotel having keys to enter/lock the room doors instead of card swipes is very inconvenient. You have to leave the room key at reception everytime you leave the hotel and collect when you come back in. The second thing is I barely slept as the room next to mine made noise up until 3am (not the hotel fault I know) but I did ring reception to explain to them this issue but they didn’t do anything about it as the noise continued

What a beautiful boutique hotel that is magnificently runs but some fabulous people. The owners are very hands on and you feel welcome and superbly cared for.

Our room was booked as a “sea view,” but we were on the 2nd floor and could only view the ocean if we went out on the balcony and stretched to look. Unfortunately, the balcony had old used cigarette butts and was too small to sit or enjoy the view. We also visited in late August. Apparently there was a huge outdoor event happening during the same weekend of our visit. The music and public speeches were VERY loud and right outside our window. Thankfully the city requires quiet after 11:30PM, but it would have been nice to go to bed earlier than midnight. No one warned us that our stay would be disrupted by this loud event. I was disappointed with our stay and would not book with Albert 1er again as a result of this negative experience.

This Boutique Hotel is for you if you think you would enjoy the feeling of staying at a wealthy friends villa just outside the busy beachside area of Nice! I don't know if Son the man who greeted us at the front desk was the owner but you certainly can tell he loves the property like it was his own. He was an amazing host and gave amazing directions, hand written by him on a walking map after he asked us what we would like to do on our stay. No person at any of the other hotel we stayed in on our trip through France, Italy and Switzerland did this. That is how much Hotel Villa Rose wants you to enjoy your stay! The property is amazing. It has a patio garden with seats and tables to relax at and also eat breakfast at. The room decor was very nice and comfortable. You feel like you are in someone's home and the key is a skeleton key from the days of long ago. We were able to walk everywhere 20 to 40 minutes to get where we wanted but there is a city train/tram that runs you back and forth to the tourist/beach area of Nice running very regularly. We loved this place. It was perfect for what we wanted and it lives up to everything the website explains it to be. Feel comfortable making this reservation. You do have to contact the front desk before 9pm if you are checking in late after that. This is more a home than a hotel. Enjoy!
