Fairytale castle with heated outdoor pool

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful French château with our family of 14. The house was perfect for such a large group, with each room being very comfortable and having its own unique character and charm. The bathrooms have recently been fitted to a very high standard, which was a lovely added touch.The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with plenty of fridges for storing all our food and drinks. The ice machine was particularly handy and very much appreciated by everyone!The pool was a real highlight and was enjoyed by all. It was kept at a lovely warm temperature and cleaned daily, making it a pleasure to use even on the cloudier days.Our hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the château and would love to return again in the future.A wonderful place for a family getaway — highly recommended!"
Holiday Home 'Quai De Loire' with Private Terrace, Private Garden and Wi-Fi

"Pros: Location was excellent, right next to the Loire. Very peaceful in a village that has some amenities. We made use of the tabac/bar where the locals were very friendly. Also an excellent bakery and a cafe on the river (only open Thursday to Sunday and book in advance). Good base to explore local chateaux and vinyards. Host was in regular contact about WiFi difficulties, which were then solved. Cons: Heat in the top bedroom. My daughter ended up sleeping in the lounge. However, the weather was unusually extreme (40C or above for four days) so doubt this would be a usual problem."

"This property is excellent and very spacious with a really nice kitchen and plenty of refrigerator/freezer space if you like to cook. The contact with the host was great and timely. It’s close to town via an easy flat walk. The dart board and pétanque made for some fun too. It was very hot during our stay so perhaps a fan or two in summer would be useful however the many windows in the house meant you could get good airflow."
