"We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and well located. There were some mice running about and we did find droppings in the bed, although the house was otherwise very clean and well appointed. We would have liked some coffee left in the cabinet at least for the first morning and the bedroom could use some hooks for clothes or coats. Gite conversion was fine, though some of the equipment was idiosyncratic, with microwave/grill but no oven. Only a two burner hob and unnecessary dishwasher (for 2 people?). 3 steak knives but no butter knives. The dining/living room cupboards were ancient and two of the doors fell off while we were there. For those travelling by car with bikes, there's a private garage where we stored our roof rack, 4 bikes, and bike carrier, when we didn't need them during the week. On arrival Marc and Jenny, gave us a welcome pack of fruit, eggs and milk and were there to greet us and give us all the information we required.We spent a very pleasant 5 days relaxing and enjoying the local area. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
