My grandchildren’s continuous laughter told us everything. We loved the house because adults had their own bedrooms with King size beds, the kids had their own room and we had an extra room to spare! Very clean and spacious. It was a wonderful Christmas. Thank you

A great place to stay and to enjoy
It seemed as though the bedding was not actually clean but we could deal with that. The oven was to small for feeding the entire family so I had to bake most of the dinners twice for each meal. I must tell you that the coffee pot had a leak in the handle and I suffered a burn from scalding hot water, but I am alright. Other than those reserves we enjoyed our stay and will consider returning again this next Spring of 2024. I treat my family to a family reunion/vacation twice a year. One in Spring & one in Autumn. The family Karioaki night was a blast. Some of my family are musicians so I did my best to keep their drumming moderate as to not disturb the neighbors. There was only one bunkbed instead of the two advertised. Overall, we had a great time and we appreciated that we had privacy. Thank you Jack & Judi !

Very nice home.Bedroom situation great with many king size bed. Ourside area perfect with many seating areas on deck,firepit,beach area. Two tier dock amazing. Nice area of lake ,not to busy. Owners wonderful. Would recommend this home and would definitely rent again

Nice place and nice folks
This was a fun place to stay especially for larger families. Easy walk to the boat dock. Boat dock has an upper level allowing is to cast so much further. School of little fish at the dock enjoy a bit of bread everyday. Protected cove sees few big waves from the main channel. Had a little problem with some lights and the owner responded immediately. Very cordial and genuine folks. Beautiful deck and view. Cleaning crew was nice too— even the neighbors were nice ( saw them at their dock). Dog friendly place!

Large house with easy water access.
The space in the house is great and access to the water easy. The house is dated and needs a solid renovation especially in the kitchen. Cleanliness of the property was okay, but key areas of the house were not cleaned well. The owners were very responsive when we couldn’t lock the front door from the outside. Overall, nice stay with ample room for a large family, but the property looks like it’s been heavily rented. Needs a good sprucing up!

July 4th family vacation
Lake house had plenty of room.6 bedrooms was great and the covered porch was wonderful.Rented a Pontoon boat and the lake was so relaxing. Having a pattle board for the young children would have been nice and and some furniture on lower patio would have been really nice. Family enjoyed.

We have been coming to this property for several years. The owners are fantastic to work with. Great communication and easy check-in and out procedures. The property is always clean and the location on the lake is great. It’s a great house to comfortably accommodate a large group.

Great Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time. The house is in a great location in proximity to the marina, boat ramp and also easy access to shopping. The home was very comfortable with plenty of sleeping room. The fire pit was wonderful for roasting marshmallows in the evening. The host was very accommodating and always responded in timely matter when we had any questions. We highly recommend Tugalo Heights for your family vacation!

Great College Reunion Weekend!
We are a group of college friends that have been alternating between beach and lake houses for reunions for the past ten years. One thing we typically struggle with is the bedroom layout, and this house fit our group perfectly. Jack and Judi are super responsive and answered every question very quickly. Tugalo Heights is a great house with great hosts. You'll be glad you picked it!

Wonderful Stay by the Lake
The house was spacious and clean. The view of the lake was SPECTACULAR! Very quiet and peaceful setting. There is plenty of space to move around and we spent most of our time on the outdoor deck which can accommodate a large number of adults. The beds are very comfortable and the internal temps maintained a comfortable temperature. The house is stocked very well with plates, utensils, linens, towels, etc.. There are plenty of coffee cups, but you may want to consider other beverage cups. Only drawback was the water capacity of the filtered well pumps, which limits the number of people that can use the showers to one at a time. The filtered water tasted GREAT. The internet connection was EXCELLENT. The owners were very responsive to my questions and provided informed answers. This is a great house to spend family time and enjoy the view of the lake.

What an awesome time we had this weekend in the very spacious home. It is so well stocked with toiletries, extra blankets, paper supplies, etc. just a very lovely home with beautiful view and access to Lake Hartwell. We enjoyed site ng by the fire pit as well as the gas burning fireplace on the porch. Wonderful gracious owners . Thank you for everything. We would love to return again in the future.

The property was very quiet and secluded. Unfortunately, the lake level was down due to a draught that I was not aware of. I was planning on using the canoe provided, however it was full of water and unsafe. This property is nice but more for summer.

We brought our Tritoon and docked it at the dock at the home. We were able to go out on the lake each day. When we came back, we had room for everyone to have their privacy to rest. This home was perfect for our family. Would definitely rent again!

The property owner was incredibly friendly and helpful and the view of the lake is beautiful. My 6 year old daughter loved playing on the beach, my 11 year old nephew loved the kayak, my dogs loved swimming in the lake, and my 70 year old parents loved relaxing on the patio and dock. There is something for everyone!

Beautiful Home and great location!
Group of friends from several states all over 50. We enjoyed the house. It accommodated all of us perfectly. Because we are all older we wished there was a railing on the steps to the lake, but we managed. Our bed was comfortable and the house was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed! Lake Hartwell is just beautiful! We had some rain but enjoyed our time together. Judi was very responsive. We would absolutely stay here again!

Labor Day 2022
2nd year at this great property. Judi and Jack are very responsive and flexible. WE all enjoyed the relatively flat and easy access to the dock. Lake Hartwell is our favorite despite being near the Atlanta lakes.. Even at Labor Day weekend the lake was relatively calm. Very good for boating. We love the outdoor seating areal off the den. We seemed to gravitate to this pleasant setting.

The house has a lots of room and the layout is perfect for multi family use. It was well stocked with linens and towels. The large deck as well as the dining area accommodated our large family perfectly at meal time. The cooling system was excellent.

The house is located in a quiet cove of the lake which is perfect for swimming and fishing. The dock easily accommodates our boats and is close to the house. Our extended family of 11 had a great weekend here. These are the things that stood out for us: 1)ample parking, 2) large kitchen, dining, and TV/sitting area, 3)nice porch, deck areas to sit with family, 4)fire pit, 5)walk to dock was fairly easy to navigate, 6)roomy two level dock, 7)good swimming area, 8)air conditioning works great. The only negative thing for us is that we wished there were more things for the kids to play with in the water. There is one canoe but we would have liked to have had a kayak and a paddle board, as well.

Celebration of life for my late father in law
We had a wonderful experience. The host was amazing and kind. The house was very clean and exactly as described. It was on the lake in a perfect position where the kids enjoy swimming in our downtime. They even have boardgames at the house that the older adult children played. It was a truly wonderful experience we will definitely go back.

Celebration of Life….amazing weekend!
Where do I begin? We chose this house to stay in for my Father’s Celebration of Life in Lavonia. He grew up on Lake Hartwell, so it was just fitting to stay in a VRBO on the lake. But this house is not just any VRBO! It is a beautiful home, on a beautiful lot overlooking the lake. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We had 13 people in this house, and we never felt cramped. In fact, it was very well thought out when it was built. Plenty of room on all 3 floors. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything a kitchen needs. As far as the bedrooms, everyone committed on how comfortable their mattresses were. We slept great!! Our favorite was all the outdoor seating on the beautiful upstairs outdoor deck. The fire pit by the lake was nice, and the upper lounge deck on the dock, provided amazing views of the lake, and beautiful sunrise views. Judi, the homeowner, made our weekend celebration for my Father just wonderful. In fact, we had to cancel and reschedule due to COVID, and she was extremely understanding and kind. I have never been treated so nicely by a VRBO homeowner. She is just wonderful to work with, and that is an A plus in my book!!! Thank you Judi!!!😊 I highly recommend this property! You won’t regret it. Enjoy!!!

The property managers were incredibly kind and helpful, I texted them several times during my stay to ask questions and they were so accommodating and helpful. Everything was clean, cozy, comfortable, and very well provisioned. We made several large meals and had everything we needed (and more) in the kitchen to make it happen. The dock was a great spot to relax and hang out and the decks were spacious and set up for outdoor gathering. We hope to come back again soon!! Thank you! Highly recommend!

This home is perfect for a big family to vacation together. It is big enough for everyone to be comfortable and still have some private space. The kitchen was big enough and stocked well so that we could cook and feed the hungry hoards. The lake water is very clean and deep, wonderful for swimming. We had 14 people total. The house has enough of everything you need. Just enough room so that everyone did not feel crammed but not too much room where everyone can disappear. The backyard was perfect for the kids to play and the adults as well, not too steep. The lighting bugs were amazing in the backyard at night. The house was well stocked and prepared for any emergency, lots of back up items. The house felt clean and cozy. The outside could use a pressure wash, it was a little slippery when it rained or the kids were wet. Any issues we had, Judi was quick to respond and offer great suggestions to help. The house was located close to everything we wanted on the lake and Hartwell was a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Definitely a great stay.

Multiple Family Vacation
This was the perfect house for multiple families. Besides ourselves, we had 3 couples with children from ages 2 to 15 years old. Each family had the room they needed for themselves and their children. The nursery room was wonderful. The basement family room became the older kids hangout so there was no disturbing the adults with video games, etc. The bedrooms are spread throughout the floors and privacy was not an issue. Each couple had a king bed! We especially loved the outdoor spaces. The covered deck off the family room became an well-used extension and the fire pit was a gathering spot almost every night. We had our boat and this part of the lake was quiet and great for pulling kids on the tube. Getting from the boat landing to the house was a breeze. You will love renting this property for your family vacation!

We stayed at this house for a large family vacation (ages 4 to 75). It was perfect. Plenty of space to spread out, large kitchen, big backyard with fire pit, quiet neighborhood, spacious dock, beautiful lake. We rented a pontoon boat from the local marina and had a blast. Everyone enjoyed their week. I highly recommend this house!!

Wonderful place!
This was just what we needed after a year of isolation! I took my 5 children and 4 grandchildren here and we had a wonderful week being together. The house has a great layout and was clean, well stocked and we especially loved the outside living area. Loved that the walk to the deck was flat and easy. Played lots of games in the yard and the dock and canoe were well used. I truly can’t think of anything negative. Thanks so much!
