Vegas Surprise

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: Room was awesome - big, clean, great view of strip
Cons: Directional signage, especially for check-in and parking
Location: It's Vegas, what isn't there to do? It looks like an easy walk to strip and there is a free shuttle that runs every 30 mins or so from Rio to Ceasars
Enjoyed the hotel, especially the room. It was quite large, very comfortable and clean, great view (we were on the 18th floor). Like most places in Vegas, everything costs extra; at least the RIO included internet in the "resort fee". Parking was free also. It was a loooong walk through the casino to the check-in desk (because there are 2 parking areas and it wasn't clear which was best for check-in guests) and direction signs were lacking.

Great hotel excellent entertainment

No matter where my business meetings are hosted, I always choose the Rio to relax at the end of the day. My wife loves the poker machines.

Pros: The staff
Cons: It could be updated
Location: They have shuttles to the strip
The Rio is an old beat up hotel. The lamp shades in the halls were either broken or missing. The elevators were full of graffiti carved into the metal and glass. I was charged $32.48 mandatory resort fee for 5 days and could only use the pool 1 1/2 days. The first day we didn't check in until 10:30pm and was charged the fee. The second day we could use the pool all day but the 3rd day the pool was closed at 3pm for a private party. The next day we were at the pool and it was closed around 11:00am due to high winds. The last day we checked out at 7am and still charged. On a brighter note the staff were all very kind, welcoming, and helpful. We did meet wonderful people. They also had wonderful food and an awesome tattoo shop.

Great location near to strip

Posted 24-Sep-2016
We enjoyed our stay at the Rio. It's walking distance to the strip but who needs to walk when there is a free shuttle bus which runs until 1am. Rooms are clean and spacious. Pool area is nice although only one out of the three pools is heated, the others are like ice baths! This was my first trip to Vegas and I was pleased with this Hotel as its considerably cheaper than those located on the strip but still not too far away. The Rio staff are friendly and helpful. All in all it was a great base for exploring Las Vegas.

Grosse Zimmer - gute Lage

Posted 24-Sep-2016
Pros: Die Grösse und Ausstattung des Zimmers, die Pool-Landschaft.
Cons: Mehr Personal beim Einchecken

Hotel was a decent choice for the price we paid.

Posted 24-Sep-2016
I would have gladly paid $20 more to have stayed on the strip, rather than take a cab ride to the strip at $18/ride...The room was nice, but I had the window that faced the morning sun (no fault of the hotel).
