Perfect for Two (2) families traveling together that prefer, at times, their separate space. Las Catalinas offers the Pacific ocean on one side and over 1,000 acres of spectacular tropical dry forest hills and valleys with extensive hiking and biking on the other. Casa Alouatta and Guesthouse consists of a total of five bedrooms. The main house has three bedrooms and the guesthouse offers two bedrooms. This Three story Main villa features an expansive King size suite, with bathroom and private balcony. Downstairs is the open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen area. The lower level offers a second King size suite, children’s bunk room with foosball table, plus a television room with spacious seating comprised of Two twin size day beds for additional sleeping. Framed by the Main and Guest House structures, is the infinity pool, overlooking the ocean , and an outdoor covered grilling area with shaded additional seating for communal gatherings. The guest house has a separate entrance with a powder room adjacent to the main entrance , which provides access from the pool, outdoor living area, and the main floor of the house. It features Two beautifully decorated queen bedrooms complete with ensuite bathrooms which mirror each other downstairs. Ensuite bathrooms have large open showers and impressive large concrete sinks. Both Bedrooms open onto the lower terrace with direct access to stairs that lead to the yoga palapa and beach trail. The fully equipped kitchen area has a large island which seats Six along with two bistro tables on the covered terrace just outside the fully retractable wood terrace doors. The open concept living room features a Queen BoConcept pull out couch, which gives you the option to sleep an additional two people. All rooms and areas feature A/C, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, and phone. Get your grill on in the barbeque area, or sit back and admire the sunset under the pergola on the upper deck. Each common area has its own bathroom. Additionally, there is laundry room with washer and dryer, just outside of the bedrooms. There are Sonos systems in the main living area, outdoor living and yoga palapa areas. The management company was beyond excellent & we appreciated all of them tremendously. Responsive, informative and highly professional. A+ rating from our group! The home & guest home were both immaculate. The house mom was simply wonderful & we appreciated her care tremendously. This home, if you are familiar with Las Catalinas, is closer to Sentido Norte than the shops, restaurants of Las Catalinas. There are 2 ways to get to the beach- one is a path often quite steep through the trees, along the beach. It is beautiful, but not "easy" if you were to have small children or those with issues walking, such as an elderly guest. The other way to get to the beach, shops, restaurants is along the street and down the stairs. This was our preferred method. We greatly appreciated the use of the garage & the ease of access to our car instead of the valet. The home could use better furniture. The living room features a small sofa and chairs, not conducive for a group relaxing inside in the evening. The furniture is oriented to the television and not the view. The best outdoor space is the patio area off of the master bedroom. Views, comfort & the sounds of the ocean. The outdoor pool is beautiful, tranquil. We never used the pool, however. The pool chairs are cheap plastic- not what a $24k week rental should feel like. The outdoor patio is cluttered, odd and not a space that is inviting as compared to other homes we have rented. It has a sofa, chairs, a long table and chairs- a lot for a small space. The main house needs a full length mirror and a mirror in the powder room that isn't all distressed. 5 ladies in our group and yes, we care to see what we look like in our bikinis, outfits. The only full length mirror is in the guest house. We do not cook on vacation & if we did, this home was well appointed for preparing meals in house. There was a large grill outside, all necessary items in the kitchen. Breakfast at Sentido is a must. Pots & Bowls for lunch or breakfast is a perfect spot in the community. By far the largest menu & best selections. Las Catalinas is a lovely place to relax, mountain bike, hit the beach & relax. Highly recommend chartering a private sailboat and seeing the area from the water & getting a car to go surfing. ##### Heather B. They’re well appointed, beautifully decorated and located in the Las Catalinas community. The property manager was incredibly helpful in arranging dinner reservations, transportation, and Covid testing. One note for renters is that this property is located at the top of a steep hill. Not a problem for our family but it could definitely be a challenge if you had mobility limitations. ##### Allison K. We lucked out. Pamela the concierge is your best friend. She is a professional and did a great job communicating. I hesitate to say to much good about the Las Catalinas area, mainly because I’d like to have it to myself. Three couples 6 kids this was a fantastic house. We did not want to come home. Las Catalinas is in the midst of the jungle. You will see monkeys and lizards aplenty. There are raccoons that like to see if the ground floor doors are locked at 2am. It is a special place under good management. Pamela was able to connect us to Avrigail who cooked 2 amazing meals for us. It was a very good value. I wish we had used her more.
