A beautiful quiet retreat amongst farms and forests at the foot of a beautiful mountain range. We had so much fun exploring, biking, hiking and swimming it was the ultimate summer location.
We had a lovely time at Tanya’s cabin! Super peaceful with everything we needed plus a really comfortable bed. Tanya was a pleasure to work with and we hope to be back!
We loved the cozy but large size of the cabin. Perfect for games nights. The outdoor area was lovely and we enjoyed picking wild plums just a short walk away. We visited Stamp Falls, McLean mill and the lake. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back.
Was a great place we made home for day trips. Tofino was 1 of them. Great hikes. Nice fire pit area outside. Actually bigger than the photos show. Good times!!!
We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the surroundings.
The log fireplace was our favorite.
Tanya was a wonderful host. She is quick to respond to any questions or needs.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin.
Tanya, the owner, greeted us on arrival, she gave us a lot of information about the cabin and surrounding area. Especially where to see bears which was the main reason we came to Vancouver Island. She was spot on, we saw bears almost every day! The cabin and setting were lovely, we would definitely come again.

We had a wonderful stay! Thank you Tanya for meeting us and taking us through the cabin and giving us some helpful tips about the local area. We really enjoyed peaceful mornings with coffee on the patio. Lots of great swimming spots and hikes around, and cozy nights at the cabin!

Great rural setting. Good feeling to help support farm family. Would like to have stayed longer. Will definitely come back.
I love everything about this place and would definitely stay again. The host was great and it was easy to find everything you need in the house. Full kitchen with all you need to cook, which we did!
The only thing I would mention is if anyone is larger or have mobility issues the position of the toilet in the main bathroom would be very tricky to use and the other bathroom has steps so also not great for a person with mobility issues.
What a spectacular home! My family was at a family reunion for the weekend and couldn’t have had a better accomodation. So many comforts I don’t know where to start. Fresh linens, treats in the fridge, well stocked wood fire place. Amazing decor, library of books, views out every room, gorgeous meadow, peaceful, best sleeps ever. We will 100% be back. Loved it!!!
My husband and I stayed at The Cabin for a week June 26th - July 3rd, 2025. We were thrilled to find this perfect retreat in the countryside outside of Port Alberni and the proximity was perfect for us. Even though we didn’t use the amenities at all, we think they are all perfect for a family or group to use. Surrounded by lush foliage it’s a cozy place to enjoy the outdoors. We also did the farm tour which was offered as an activity. It’s so amazing to see how hard this family has worked in continuing the family farm legacy. I would highly recommend this property! We were so looking forward to our getaway on rural Vancouver Island and this cabin was perfect. Set in the woods on a farm, we were able to walk through the trails to peekaboo views of the fields. We were thrilled to see cows grazing, deer, and even a bear and cubs! We hiked to the ocean, swam at the lake, and ate great food in town.
The cabin is cozy with two bedrooms, a new kitchen with all the things you need to cook a good meal. A lounge area off the kitchen with TV was perfect for the visiting kids to watch a movie in while the adults lounged in a separate big living room. Lots of really great touches: great linens, multiple coffee brewing options, even some crystal glasses. Can’t wait to come back in the winter to enjoy the wood stove.
This was a perfect dream home away from home. Close enough for town to be a quick trip. Beautiful property. Well equipped for nights in. Could not recommend more. The host were perfect 🥰
A most enjoyable stay ! Property has everything you need for a relaxing weekend. Host was very thorough and thoughtful. Would love to have more time here to enjoy the amenities.
My husband and I stayed at The Cabin for our first anniversary and it exceeded our expectations by far. Tanya is an incredible host who truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, and it was! She and her family were so kind and welcoming, going out of their way to show us around their beautiful farm and introduce us to their cows.
The Cabin itself was spotless and very private, with a lovely garden and everything we could possibly need to be comfortable. Homemade granola and yogurt made from their cows’ milk was waiting for us in the fridge, there was a binder full of information about things to do in the area, and Tanya was just a text away in case we needed anything.
We are so, so happy that we stayed at The Cabin and will absolutely be back again! Thank you so much Tanya for making this such a memorable trip!
