- ![Growing up in Australia listening to the tales of bravery and valour shown by both sides at Gallipoli in 1915, it was only natural that it was one of the first places I should visit in Turkey.  This is the French Military Cemetery and it was so incredibly peaceful, it was one of my favourite places.  It is beautifully tended, with lovely views out over the sea and I was the only person there - probably because it was the middle of winter!  I will go back here and spend a few days self driving in order to spend more time in places like this.
