This raised home sits on the sought-after High Lake in Boulder Junction, making it the perfect getaway for families, fishermen, and snowmobilers alike. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place you’ll easily call home during your stay. Outside, you’ll create unforgettable memories around the large firepit, enjoy swimming, or take out the canoes and paddleboat for a peaceful ride on the lake. Relax on the spacious pier or deck, and make the most of the gas grill located on the first floor for a delicious cookout with your group.

What's nearby: High Lake, the headwaters of the Manitowish River, is connected to Fishtrap Lake, offering miles of scenic waterways to explore. This 760-acre lake features public boat launches and a fantastic fishery for anglers. For nature lovers, nearby scenic spots include Dunn Lake State Area, High Lake Spruce-Balsam State Area, and Johnson Lake Barrens & Springs State Area.

Short family get away

The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The spacious rooms, kitchen, the basement was like another house. The fishing was spectacular!! Even snagged a northern off the pier! The canoe and kayak were clean and ready for our use. The lake was quiet, we saw bald eagles swooping for fish. Absolutely will be back!

“Greatest Vacation House”

We have stayed at this house twice this Summer. We couldn’t ask for a nicer house on a beautiful lake that is centrally located to all of our favorite places. We’ve stayed in many homes in the Northwoods and this is definitely at the top. The kids enjoyed catching several fish right off the dock and had a blast in Boulder Junction for the Musky Jamboree. We’re hoping to come back again next year and try out all of the bike trails.

Lovely cabin on quiet lake

High Lake Hideaway was perfect for my family of four. Peace and quiet for me, and dock fishing, swimming, canoeing, paddle boating for the kids. We loved the swings and the fire pit - perfect for cool mornings and an evening gathering. The location is close enough to Boulder Junction when needed, and yet just far enough away. The lake is quiet with few interruptions from jet skis and speeding boats. Everything was clean, and there were plenty of towels available. Only one comment - it would be great to have kayaks and SUPs on-site so renters can avoid the hassle of bringing them from home or renting some locally.

Dream Vacation

We had a blast here this summer. Clean lake house with plenty of amenities and a great view of High Lake. Will definitely be back. Plus great fishing right off the pier. Could use air conditioning for those hot nights. Otherwise a great stay. Thank you!

Great time, but bring all the necessities!

My family and I had a great time! The location was perfect as there was enough privacy from other homes and we were still right on the water. The bedrooms were also very spacious and comfortable. Our only complaint was lack of proper amount of toilet paper and soap, however everything else was wonderful and we'll definitely come back soon!

High Lake Hideaway

Very nice home with a beautiful porch and nice size kitchen and living area. Wonderful view from the living room and kitchen. Bedrooms odd for a large group. Issues with tiny bugs getting in through screens, that really needs to be addressed. Spent hours trying to get them out and cleaned up.

Gorgeous Lake Property

Beautiful spot on High Lake! We loved the incredible view of the lake from the living area and huge deck! The eagles were soaring and the fishing was great. The home had everything we needed to enjoy our time here. The bedroom layout is a little interesting, but worked fine for our family and slept the 6 of us very comfortably. Boulder Junction is a short 12 minute drive away which was great for picking up some groceries and enjoying some coffee in the morning and ice cream at night. Thank you for a great getaway!

Great house, super clean

Very nicely furnished and very clean. Kitchen had everything you could need and linens, towels, hand towels, and wash rags were provided. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Nice place but could not get in.....

We were given the incorrect entry code. Many calls to management got us another incorrect code. We waited ~2 hours in our car at the house waiting for the correct entry code.

Nice cabin great view

Our family stayed here for a fishing vacation. The house was perfect for our needs. With the bonus room there were plenty of beds for eight. It was nice and clean with plenty of amenities. The only thing we struggled a little bit with was the parking and turning around for three vehicles with boat trailers. All in all this was a great place to stay. We definitely would stay here again.

Wonderful stay. Cabin was clean and well-equipped. Cabin was great. Appreciate the owner giving us access to tools and boating supplies (anchors, boat bumpers, seat cushions, etc.). Makes the trip much more enjoyable when you do not have to run to town for a screwdriver or rope. The plentiful stock of box fans were a life saver as temps were in 90s.

We had a great week here on High Lake! What a beautiful view from the deck. The home is situated in a great spot on the lake, very secluded. Even though the home supplies a canoe (it was missing the middle row seat which made it kind of wobbly) and a peddle boat, we arranged rental of kayaks through Northwoods Rental company and went out on the lake every morning - lake was like glass. There are a few islands in the middle of the lake where we saw loons and eagles. There is a really neat channel near the home which is so peaceful and full of wildlife. There is a public boat launch at the end of the channel but there wasn't alot of traffic coming from it so that was nice. There is a firepit and a swing on the property near the lake. The house was very clean. The only negatives I would share is the 'bunkhouse' over the garage has no bathroom and has pretty steep stairs and in the main house, there is only one shower so if you have a larger group that could be an issue. The main house can sleep 8 (there is a twin bed in the master bedroom along with a queen bed). The couch in the living room pulls out to a bed also. Rental group was very easy to work with, there is plenty of dishes and everything you would need to cook with. House is in a great location! Boulder Junction had it's "Musky Days" festival the weekend we were there, vintage car show and craft type vendors. There are a lot of bike trails near Boulder Junction and up near Land o Lakes. Eagle River and Minoqua is also not far away with a lot of things to do. We would definitely stay here again!
