"This is a lovely guesthouse with a difference. Owned by a Dutch couple, I was welcomed by them and their huge dog. The room was clean and pleasant, an older-fashioned rustic country style that I'd expect in a Burgundian village but all well-appointed. The distinctive features of my stay (just one night on a business trip) was the communal dinner offered with Wouter and Lotte (hosts) cooking a massive barbecue and entertaining us around the table. "Enjoyed a pleasant two night stay here. With some advanced notice, we were able to arrive late and check in the following morning. The room was comfortable for my family of 5 and Herve served a fabulous breakfast for us each morning. Herve provided us with a map of Lyon and circled some places we should visit for a daytrip into the city. Upon our return that evening, we walked into the courtyard and were treated to a perfectly clear sky with hundreds of stars. Herve told us the following morning...

"This place would have been what it promised, a place of dreams: remote, rural, beautiful, wonderfully appointed, easygoing, friendly. BUT. After going quite a long distance out of our way to find this special place, being greeted by the friendly owner, moving into our room, and hitting the pool, the owner returned to tell us that he had double-booked the room, and we would have to leave. So we had to get out, get dressed, and leave to make another drive to find another hotel (sight unseen)......
