About this property

“2-bedroom apartment in a historic carriage house with garden”

  • The Secret Garden
A spacious, art-filled retreat in the heart of Lambertville
Welcome to The Secret Garden, a large and comfortable two-bedroom apartment tucked into a historic carriage house in central Lambertville.
The carriage house has a fascinating history. It once formed part of the carriage passage from the original main house, and you can still see the large arched openings where carriages once entered the building. Today those openings have been incorporated into the apartments with windows and doors, but the old architecture remains part of the character of the house.
The building itself has three apartments. The Secret Garden is a private apartment on the lower level, with its own entrance and access to the gardens. Other residences are located elsewhere in the carriage house, so the property has a lived-in, historic-house character rather than the feel of an isolated hotel.
Inside, the apartment is spacious, comfortable and intentionally eclectic, with an old-world, artistic and vintage feeling and an interesting collection of art.
There are two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, plus a comfortable pull-out sofa for additional sleeping.
The kitchen is being equipped with quality pots, pans and cooking essentials for guests who enjoy preparing a good meal. Of course, you may decide that Lambertville's wonderful restaurants are too tempting to cook! The apartment stays cozy with heating and cool with air conditioning, making it a great spot year-round. Whether you’re here for a quick getaway or an extended stay.
Outside, you'll discover the garden that gives the apartment its name. this adorable retreat welcomes you with ease and charm. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your holiday one to remember.
