"Although the home itself was lovely, the property management company ruined most of our vacation.they told us before booking that we had lake access to swim in the lake, but this was incorrect.We would not have booked this home if we knew that.The home was not clean or ready for us upon arrival at the listed check-in time.The Septic tank started to overflow and needed to be pumped. I had to find a company to come quickly on my own.Golf cart that we paid for broke down on the side of the mountain road. We were given inaccurate pieces of information by host before arriving. Terrible customer service and poor communication. There were other issues , too many to list here.I don’t blame the homeowners, but I do blame the company . With proper management this home could be the perfect rental property, but do be aware there is no lake access except for the cute little marina where you can rent boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards.We did make the best of our time here, even though a lot of the time was spent dealing with issues that we had to handle ourselves because they couldn’t help us. Positives: home is a good size that fit our family perfectly. Lake Toxaway country club is very pretty.The home is nicely stocked with top of the line kitchen items.The golf cart was nice to have while it worked.My negative review is not about the home itself, but about the management company and our terrible experience with them. I gave them a chance to rectify but they didn’t. "
