The location was great, close to Truckee in one direction and the lake in the other. It was quiet and you can hear the creek behind the house. It also has a great deck for hanging out and a downstairs bonus rec room (the house is so spacious we didn’t even use the bonus room). Very clean, good amenities. We stayed here with 6 adults/4 kids and had plenty of space for everyone. The cabin had many upgrades not seen in the photos. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful new deck which was where we spent most of our time. The cabin came stocked with games for adults and kids. The location was perfect for us. Overall, we had an excellent time staying in this home. Please note, if you do book this property to make sure that you disarm the electric bear protection on the doors and windows. Reviewer Comments: This rental was a rustic cabin that matched the on-line photos, housing 10 comfortably. The location was very quiet and peaceful, close to Tahoe City and Squaw Valley. What the photos do not show is a very steep 2 story or more decline from the limited street level parking, making it a challenge to transport goods in/out of the rental as well as navigating the steps which could be very difficult in the winter/snow season. The property needs some minor repairs. There is no yard access, only outside deck with bench seating. ---
