"We recently had a long-awaited family holiday, staying for two nights. Overall, the experience was okay. We enjoyed dinners at the hotel’s two restaurants and spent time at the spa. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the location is excellent. The spa itself is one of the best in Finland, with impressive facilities and a great atmosphere. "Excellent riverside location between the railway station and the city center. Very short walking distance to the city center but rental bikes are available, too. Cozy rooms with self-adjustable air-conditioning and ventilation windows. The refrigerator of our room was quite loud. Good breakfast with local specialties like Karelian rice pastries and banana-chocolate cake by a local bakery. The restaurant with a large summer terrace is good. The pampering spa department is with an extra charge."

"Unwelcoming staff, who did not direct us to our hidden room. Staff don't want to speak English even though they work in a hotel. Only 2/6 saunas were open. No saunas were available where I could share with my partner. No adult only area. Do not go if you are looking for a relaxing break with your partner like we were. Decent breakfast. "
