This was the perfect place to stay for a very busy graduation weekend. Big porch, fire pit and barbecue were big hits. A very nice place to unwind and spend time relaxing with friends and family. Thank you!

The property was awesome. We had 10 guys on our annual fishing trip and the cabin had enough space for all of us !! It’s located very close to lake McBride and coralville reservoir. I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay, and Lisa the host was awesome too !!!!!! If you needed anything, she called right away to help, thank you Lisa and thank your cleaning lady also , place was clean and overall beautiful!!!!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect location for our Thanksgiving getaway and had everything our family needed to relax and enjoy time together. The space was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up for a peaceful retreat. The host was welcoming and accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. We would definitely stay here again

Our family gathered together including my son, home from Portland-first time in a year! Extended family all hung out and enjoyed everything this beautiful cabin had to offer. Amazing location, beautiful surroundings and immaculately clean with everything we could need. Son is a chef and had everything he needed to amaze us with his skills. Fires in the woodburning stoves, games and time on the deck, hiking at Lake MacBride and Coralville reservoir, Amana visit...fantastic time. Communication was awesome-we had arranged a late checkout, wanted to enjoy our time together as long as possible but good old Iowa blizzard ended that idea. We will definitely be back. This property is wonderfully stocked, a cabin with multiple levels and is exactly as described. Awesome location with a great host!

Relaxing Getaway!

Great cabin for hosting a family with kids or a small group of adults! Excellent view of Coralville Lake, comfortable beds, fully stock kitchen utensils, and beautiful deck! Will definitely be back!

A great place to stay for familes!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We had 3 families with two children and it met all of our needs. It was wonderful to have us all under one roof and space to spread out on the deck. The owner is fantastic to work with and we would recommend this property to everyone who needs more than two bedrooms. Thank you!

Cabin in the woods

Sturdy cabin on the lake. All the modern conveniences. Very clean and comfortable. Wonderful for the kids and our German Shepherd was permitted. The cabin was very thoughtfully decorated and was very quaint. Nice deck for relaxing. The beds could use an upgrade of mattresses. Overall excellent place.

Unique house in a beautiful location

My mother, sister, niece, and I take a girl’s weekend every year. We look for unique houses in locations where there an interesting places to explore. This house perfectly fit the bill. Host was nice and responsive without being overbearing. One thing I think is important for future renters to know is that the main living area and kitchen are up a flight of stairs. Location is beautiful and Lake MacBride offers a lot to do.

Peaceful Getaway

My family had a different reason for seeking peace on our trip to the area. We were in town for a family funeral, and this little piece of heaven was exactly what we needed. The cabin was very welcoming, had what we needed, and had the peace that was very welcomed during this difficult time. We were close to events and family in Solon, but had a quiet, peaceful place to let down. The lake was a short walk from the property, with a convenient trail for walking, running, and enjoying nature.

Great stay at the cabin.

We had a great time in Iowa. Staying at this cabin was a joy. We are thankful the owners took our last minute reservation. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else. This is a beautiful property filled with wildlife and scenic views. This cabin was very comfortable for sleeping and hanging out. It had everything that we needed. Even thought it was just my husband and I visiting this time, this cabin is the perfect spot for a larger family or group. There is tons of space. We highly recommend staying here. We hope to get back here again soon!

Peaceful Stay

Beautiful property and wonderful accommodations! The property owner was easy to communicate with and very accommodating for our change in number of guests staying. A stone’s throw from Lake MacBride state park, there are hiking trails, beaches and fishing areas close by. Kayaks available on the property to drop into the lake, a deck to enjoy early morning coffee and chatting, and a fire ring out back for the quiet evenings. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out, and we had a great time! The private trail to the beach was unusable due to the rain, but trail heads nearby led to a beach, so we didn’t miss out! A lovely week outdoors at a beautiful cabin!

Family celebration in December

We stayed in the month of December to celebrate my wife's upcoming 60th birthday with the family. The house is approx. 30 minutes from the Amana Colonies which is a must during the Christmas season. Because it was December and cold, we did not get to participate in many of the lake activities. However, we did enjoy going on a walk in the State Park and enjoyed playing games at the house by the fireplace.
