Beautiful 5 bedroom Waterfront House w/skiing/snowboarding/snow mobile path near
Newly listed property!
Beautiful 5 bedroom home on the clean Hudson River that flows directly from the Sacandaga River. You are 15-20 minutes away from Lake George village and Downtown Saratoga/Saratoga Race Track. Less then ten minutes away from West Mountain, 45 minutes to Gore mountain and close to many snowmobile trails and hiking paths. Great for a family get together, or a group of friends. A peaceful setting with amazing water view. Bring your boats, jet skis, or any other water toys. 80 feet plus of waterfront with a private dock on the river and public boat launch right down the street. Very peaceful during the summer, fall, and winter months, with beautiful views during all year round...even watching the snowfall is beautiful!

Our 3 families and grand parents (14 in all) ranging in ages - 6-75 had a wonderful time as we always do when we get together every year. The location was perfect for us!!
Beautiful location on the river. We would have preferred fewer steps into the house but there were so many different sitting areas that we really enjoyed.
We stayed with a group of friends and kids and our stay was great. Shawn was very responsive to all our questions. The screened in porch, deck, fire pit, and water front made for great places to hang out and enjoy the property. It was very peaceful and the sunsets were beautiful. Although we brought our own towels as indicated in the listing, it was a bit odd that there were minimal hand towels and no bath mats. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return.
This was our second stay at this property. The location and layout and size of the home are great, however there could be more upkeep to ensure it’s comfortable for guests. It was cold while we were there, and unfortunately not all of the thermostats were working so some bedrooms were very cold. There are also little to no cleaning supplies available, including simple things like hand soap and surface cleaners. Additionally the stairs to the dock were unsafe which made it difficult to get close to the water, which is a big appeal to this property. That being said, the common space is great for a big group, the screened in porch is fantastic for bad weather and keeping little ones contained, and the kitchen has all the supplies you need to cook. The back yard is also very private and the view is beautiful.
Great house close to ski hill. Beautiful views. Would be excellent in the summer. House was pretty cool and drafty in the winter. Owner communicated well but thermostat in one room didnt work at all. We used extra blamkets and got by but definitely more of a summer house that 4 season.
This is a lovely, spacious house perfect for family get together. I should have paid more attention to the listing. The beds come only with bottom sheets, pillows, and pillow cases. Renters need to bring top sheets, blankets, towels, kitchen towels, and potholders,.The house was very clean but I couldn’t give five stars because some of the pots and pans were grimy and the fridge had a lot of crumbs in it. Shawn responded quickly when we needed instructions on starting the fireplace. All in all a beautiful place to stay.
No notice that there were no towels or communication to me about accessing the house or about trash day. House was surface cleaned, but really needs a deep cleaning. There were no top sheets on any beds; are comforters really washed between guests? Outside stairs and decking should be replaced. Otherwise, the space was great for our family, and the kids really loved the water and inflatables. Shawn was responsive to my texts. The place would be more attractive on the outside if weeding and planting were done.
We’ve been vacationing at Lake George for several years and have stayed at various rentals mainly due to availability. This house was fairly decent but not my first choice. No towels provided. Not sure the linens were cleaned prior to our arrival considering the condition of some of them upon arrival. Beds were very uncomfortable. Being on the river, a canoe or kayak would have been nice. There are no easy access rentals for these or for a boat since there is no direct access from Lake Luzerne. AC’s didn’t always work properly. It’s a nice house but needs some sprucing up.
Our stay at Lake Lucerne was a relaxing get-a-way with enough different activities available in the area to avoid boredom. We loved the screened in porch with a view of the river for almost all of our meals. There was a problem with oven but it was attended to veery quickly. The beds were comfortable and most evenings were wonderfully cool for sleeping. This was the end of June.
We had a great time. Shawn is very responsive for any questions I have. Large house with plenty of space and seating. We loved fishing off the dock and enjoying the views!

Could be a beautiful River house - as is would not rent again
Lots of crappy broken furniture, missing or broken window coverings, lights that don’t work, alarms going off randomly at 6 am one morning all over the house and kept going off, kitchen is poorly supplied, black mold in room air conditioners, gas grill is major fire hazard, exterior stairs and deck falling apart, basement is a sauna for sleeping - guy that owns the place very nice and responsive but place needs a lot of work. Otherwise it’s a beautiful spot with nice views - convenient to lots of great summer activities like rafting, horseback riding, biking, hiking. Also close to Saratoga and Lake George - given current state of place, however, cannot recommend.
Our family stayed on this beautiful property last week. Ages ranged from 11 to 73 and all had a comfortable stay. Check-in was easy and the house was clean upon arrival. All of the rooms were good size and had large closets. There were also dressers in each of the rooms. There is not central air, but air conditioners are located in each of the bedrooms. The common area in the house is fantastic (kitchen, living room, dining room and loft). We had read previous reviews about the couch concerns and they were valid, however, if you don’t move the couches, it’s not a big deal. We had no reason to move the couches. The kitchen is decent. We were able to cook daily. We also used the grill on the deck. It did not have propane upon arrival, but it was easy to swap at the local store. The lights over the bar in the kitchen did not work...or we couldn’t figure out where the switch was. We tried every switch we could find. The deck has a great screened in porch area that is perfect to avoid the bugs at night. Our only suggestion would be to remove the tree that is in front of the screened in porch because it blocks the view of the water. Keep the other tree to have a shady spot for sitting down by the water.
The back yard is perfect for a home on the river. It’s fairly flat and access to the dock is very easy. Another suggestion would be to add a plank access to the dock with railings like the neighbors have. This would make it easier for all ages to be able to get on the dock. We brought our bass boat. The launch is 5 minutes from the house and extremely easy to get the boat in and out. I thought it would be difficult with the river current....it wasn’t. I fished just about every morning and caught mainly small mouth bass. I heard there are large pike, but didn’t hook any. The river is peaceful and everyone I came across was courteous. I was able to take the kids tubing behind the boat everyday. Most of the river is 8-14 feet deep. Just keep an eye out for branches coming down the river. The dock seems to be on a fairly calm stretch of river which makes it the perfect spot to swim, which the kids did plenty of. The water is a little cold, but it’s a river in the Adirondacks, fully expected.
We bought wood but never got to use it. There is a really nice fire pit in the backyard along the river. This was mainly because we traveled to Lake George or Saratoga multiple times. All and all our family had a very memorable week. Lots of laughs!
Stayed here last year and had a great time. A few things (drawer handle in kitchen, both recliners, some curtains in the dining room) needed to be fixed but otherwise great. Came back this year and same things still broken in addition to both couches (backs just completely fall on the floor), fireplace hearth stones almost fell on my nephew and upstairs bathroom is dripping loudly in the wall to the downstairs master bedroom. It’s a shame because this house, location and neighborhood are all great. I hope some repairs are done and this place could be amazing.
Nestled on the Hudson River you will find this Adirondack Hidden Gem. Great small-town USA neighborhood with a super yard, dock, and views. Large house that accommodate family and friends.

Nice, but certainly not worth the $$
Nice view (from ground... not from deck) house right on the river.
Lighting was not good, broken furniture, beds uncomfortable, decor was non existent, seating in the living room only accommodated 5 people- where the ONLY TV was in the house, scratched up pots were unusable, landscaping needed attention. Definitely thought it would have been a bit nicer for The amount of money we paid for 4 nights!
Nice roomy home directly on the Hudson River. We took our kayaks and boated on the river each day. Screened in porch lovely for meals overlooking the river. Shawn was easy to communicate with and check in and check out was seamless.
House was big and clean. Nice shallow water on the river which was great for kids - maybe 4 inches upon entry but much deeper at the end of the dock (good for fishing). Contact for the house was very responsive. There were a few minor broken things but overall a really nice, clean house on a dead end street.
This is a quaint little family neighborhood. I took my family for a last minute get away and we were all so happy with the property. The home was adorable and well suited to give everyone the space they needed. The constant breeze from the lake was a natural air conditioner! The property manager Shawn was readily available with any questions or concerns and responded promptly! Loved it. Thanks
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful waterfront home. It was plenty of room for our family. We celebrated our dad’s 80th birthday and had a great time. Thank you Shawn.
The house is beautiful. It's by the Hudson river. Water front. Well equipped, nice and safe neighbourhood. We had fun staying. Would love to come back.
