Glamp Thomas On Adk Farm Offers Privacy, Stargazing And Mountain Views
At the edge of a wildflower meadow with mountain views, this beautifully furnished glamping tent has two queen beds, lamps, Oriental rug and private deck.
Enjoy wood-fired pizza and our new all natural wood hot tub. Get fresh eggs from our henhouse. 40 acres of meadows, woods, pond, streams and trails. Nightly bonfires, star gazing, a nearby lake and rafting in the Hudson River below. Golf cart service to your tent.
We have four glamping tents, Glamp Richard, Glamp Suzanne, Glamp Bernice and Glamp Thomas which are spaciously set apart for privacy yet an easy walk to the Bath House and the Lodge where each glamping tent has its own kitchenette.
The tents have a “fly” over them so they stay remarkably cool during the day and completely waterproof. At night, zip up the canvas windows and doors, and stay cozy under handmade feather quilts.
The new Bath House has a women’s side with two toilets, a shower and double vanity with glass vessel sinks; ditto for the men’s side. In the nearby Lodge, there is also a lovely new bathroom with an old-fashion claw foot tub where you can enjoy a deep bath with lavender salts. We provide nice towels and soap.
In the Lodge, there are individual kitchenettes for each of our four glamping tents. It has a sink, one burner cooktop, coffee maker, compact refrigerator, dishes, cutting board, glasses, utensils, napkins and basics of salt, pepper, sugar. Bring your own coffee and cream. There are open shelves for you to store your groceries.
Outside are several charcoal grills and a gas grill. We provide charcoal and lighter fluid.
We spent the fall and winter of 2019 building an amazing all natural cedar hot tub. Located on one of the most beautiful spots of our land, our new Japanese wood hot tub is a delightful treat for our guests. Built within a small post and beam temple-like structure with gorgeous views of the mountains beyond and wildflowers below, our spa tub is a wonderful way to relax during your stay. $25 for an hour’s retreat of happiness.
Most nights in the summer, we offer wood fired pizza. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By six, the wood fire has died down and the oven is about 800 degrees. Guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings (or choose from our toppings) and we help them cook their pizzas. Because the oven is so hot, the pizzas cook in about three minutes. Lots of fun! Oh, most toppings should be sautéed in advance since the cooking time in the oven is so short.
At dusk, we get the bonfire going so guests can relax in hand-built Adirondack chairs to watch the fire and the stars. There is no “light pollution” so it is an amazing experience to see thousands of stars, night clouds, moonscapes.
Enjoy getting your breakfast eggs from the henhouse. Our flock of chickens and ducks are fun to watch as they free range all over the property. The ducklings enjoy it when there is fresh water run into their little swimming pool --- they are so joyous when they’re in water. The ducks are sweet but shy away from people (oh no! humans!). Unlike the chickens that wander all day and come back together to the coop only to sleep, the ducks are co-dependent and stick together all the time; if one duck is separated, they all quack until they get back together. So yes, country life can be noisy with the chickens cackling and the ducks quacking!
And of course there is Sammy Dog, a lab/shepherd mix, and Bella, a younger dog, who bound around the property, visiting all our guests, laying down on the porch and steps waiting for people to come home. Be careful coming down the driveway because they sometimes leaps unexpectedly in front of cars all goofy and happy.
Our cabins are set up for visiting dogs, but unfortunately we cannot host dogs in the tents.
The lake is three miles down the winding road …13th Lake it is called and it is just beautiful. Totally natural and quiet with no sign of civilization on its shores. The Hudson River is at the bottom of our mountain; clear beautiful water; you go tubing or rafting with the various rafting companies located right nearby.
The town of North Creek is five miles away off the main Route 28 road but it’s easy to miss so look for the 3 or 4 signs that mark the entrance to “town”. North Creek is a scenic little town with some great restaurants, a grocery store, liquor store, some shopping places and a scenic train called the Saratoga/North Creek Railroad which takes folks in antique train cars along the Hudson River.
Another great experience is nearby Garnet Hill Lodge, an historic lodge offering lunches and dinners … beautiful property, amazing views, great food. It’s located right up the road in North River. They rent mountain bikes and have all kinds of walking trails.
Lots and lots more to do … check our online Guide Book for more suggestions!
So .... Enjoy amazing mountain day views and glorious stargazing by night ... this might be the most special vacation you’ve ever had! Quiet and tranquil … safely and privately located at the edge of our Hobby Farm where you can enjoy a beautiful tent, ducks and chickens, and sweet lab dog.
If you're looking for additional space, we have other cottages on the property as well ... Authentic Adirondack Bird Camp, FarmstandGuest House, Camp Hudsonview,,, Camp TwoSome, Camp Lillian, Camp Bossie and Camp Finale all of which are listed on this site.

The tents spacious and the grounds are beautiful. The bags of dried lavender in the rooms were an amazing touch. We will absolutely be back again and we will schedule more time in to really enjoy the property because there’s so much space to explore.
Tents were great. Spacious, with wonderful porches, pastoral views, warm down comforters. The electric fireplace heater was a nice touch but didn't cut the cold once out of the bed! Tent nearby was loud late at night and shining light - only downside. Outbuildings were charming. Loved the walk under the starfilled sky to the japanese soaker. Only wish we could have dimmed/turned lights off in the soaker to see the stars! Dinner at Barvino in neighboring Northcreek was great. Beautiful home at thirteenth lake next morning. Truly a wonderful spot. Would love to come here with family friends and take over all for glamps! Our is life to stay in the little charming cabins when chillier which have the best views of the mountains!
We had a great time and would definitely stay there again. We loved the property as well as Sammy and Bella (the property mascots lol). We rented the golf cart and my girls loved it. I tried out the hottub and it was awesome.
Everything was unique about this property. It was a wonderful week spent with my kids and we will definitely be back!

This was a great way to immerse yourself in the outdoors without completely stripping back to nothing. Everyone was so nice and it was like a community, while still being private.
We had a great experience! This was our first time glamping and we would definitely do this again. The canvas tent/cabin was large and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bath house was beautiful and large. The lodge with the kitchens was well laid out. The fridge was cold, kept our food and drinks at appropriate temperature. We enjoyed the wood fired pizza, its a must when you stay. I can't say enough good things about the host! She is attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making your stay the best it can be. This is a great location for exploring the area; we went white water rafting during our stay. Thank you Leslie!

So much fun
Staying at Glamp Thomas was a lot of fun. First and foremost, we got a great night sleep on a real bed, at a perfect temperature. Second, we enjoyed very much the facilities that were shared with the other tents, from warm shower, to individual fridge, and common fire pit. Last but not least, it was "pizza" night and when we say pizza, we mean "make your own" from selecting the ingredients to putting them in the wood oven. Can't get better than that.
It's a great place to stay. I love being able to have the out door experience without all the hard work. This was my second time back and there has been some upgrades since my first visit that were very nice. Each of the tents now have a screen room on the front with two Adirondack chairs to sit and view the beautiful garden that was also new since the last time I was there. The first time I took my Aunt and we both enjoyed it very much. I was excited to be able share it with my two granddaughters this year. We were able to visit the Wild Center, The Blue Mountain Museum and did Garnet Mining all with in an hour or less from our camp. The wood fire pizza was fun and delicious. My next trip in I will not bother to load my car with beverages and food for my stay, because in North Creek there is a Tops grocery store that is very nice and has anything you might need, so why take up space in your car. While you are in North Creek, check out the "North Creek Mosaic Project". The Adirondack Rail Biking is also in North Creek. That is on our "To Do" list the next time in. Both times we met and chatted with a number of other vacationers; some first timers, some repeat campers. Always a pleasure meeting new folks.
My fiancé and I stayed here for a friends wedding. The property is beautiful. The tents are clean and the beds are very comfortable. We would definitely return!
We spent three nights in Glamour Thomas and could have stay a lot longer! The property is beautiful and well kept. The kids loved running around between the houses and he vast garden to look for all the animals around and of course visit Sammy! We had the best time and did not want to leave! Thanks, Leslie & Emeline!
Unique experience. So much fun. This was perfect for our father’s day get away. We were sad to leave
I booked online and I had ton of questions and every one was answered quick. At check in we were greeted by owner and given a quick tour by her daughter. Both were great hosts super kind to our daughters (9 and 7 yo) I was worried that due to Covid 19 everything would be closed. Businesses were closed but it didn’t matter. We had so much to do. We went to 13th lake at sunset and the girls swam till the sun went down. We booked the hot tub... well worth it and soaked in it for an hour before bed. My girls woke up and played with the chickens and ducks and pet Sammy (the friendliest golden lab ever) We spent the day driving around nearby quaint towns then stopping at swimming in the Hudson River. We returned home for stone cooked pizza ... the girls helped cook it...yum! The girls fed the chickens and refilled duck pool... our city slicker girls loved it! Then we sat by the fire and made s’mores till it was our hour in the hot tub time! The tents were simple but super nice. Comfy beds. My favorite part was the back porch of the tent ... our girls played on the front porch and the adults siloed wine in the back over looking thick woods and pretty flower beds. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Highly recommend.

Leslie and her daughters made our stay so comfortable. We will definitely be back!
We love the outdoors, but always choose proper beds over camping. We were SUPER happy with our GLamping experience. The tent was clean and comfortable, the beds were great, and the bathrooms and kitchen facilities were impeccably clean and well equipped. We even enjoyed the rainy night/day!
Delicious DIY pizza and marshmallows around the easy-to-light bonfire. I highly recommend glamping at Hobby Farm!
Leslie and her daughter were great hostesses. This was a unique experience. Location was great, just 5 minutes away from our rafting company and 5 min away from beautiful 13th Lake and OK Slip Falls. The pizza was delicious the facilities were clean. Just a unique experience that combined the beauty of nature with the amenities of home. Highly recommend.
We had a great time glamping at Leslie’s place! We even got a chance to soak in the cedar hot tub and it was the best. Very relaxing and smelled great! Would totally recommend a soak if you can. If we are ever back in NY we definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful Experience!
Exceptional hospitality from Leslie and daughters. Beautiful thoughtout Glamping, loved the style and each detail from the styles of the tents, to the exquisite stone wood burning oven. Leslie’s pizza was amazing! Nice laid back experience together with Sammy her dog, and her cute chickens and ducks. My daughter Carolyn was able to relax and recharge to prepare for her second year of Graduate school. We Will definitely be back! Thank you Leslie for the experience! Best wishes to you and your daughters!

I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. The farm was beautiful, well-maintained, and comfortable. Leslie and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The animals were fun for our daughter. The stars at night were unbelievable. We'll be back!
