If you're looking for a place that's private but still within walking distance to the village - this cute escape is situated on 1/2 an acre with some privacy and a beautiful open escape that is within minutes to the village. Close to restaurants, shops, outlet shopping, Six Flags Great Escape, water activities, fishing, golfing and all the Adirondacks has to offer. Only 3 hours away from NYC! The space You can check yourself in with the key located in the lock box. We will provide you with the code one day before your trip. Our space offers modern decor and living. There are two queen sized beds and two full bathrooms. The living room has a loveseat sofa and a single seater good for 4 people. A small, but cozy living room with a fully equipped kitchen and an island. Parking available right on site - Maximum number of cars = 3 Please be sure to strictly follow the instructions regarding checkout as this will ensure a timely cleaning and check-in process for our next guest. If house rules and instructions are not followed, we will charge an extra $25 fee for each house rule not followed. There is a Window AC unit ONLY in the living room. Lake George is usually cool even during summer time with an average low of 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, especially at night. Leaving the windows open and using the ceiling fans have given ample breeze even during summer time. Our home is in the Adirondacks and within a foresty and wooded area. There are many little critters that love to go around our home - spiders is a big one, mice, flies, mosquitoes, cats, bugs, and many other insects. We have a pretty good seal in our home, but please be aware that we do live in a pretty remote area with forests and woods so they are expected. We ask you to keep all doors to the home closed at all times especially if you step out, even if it's just for a second. Guest access The entire home Our home is not a lake view home and we do not have direct access to a lake. The lake pictured in the listing are photos of Lake George itself which can be seen when walking through the village. The Thermostat is only for heat. When leaving the apartment, please turn off the thermostat. Unfortunately, we do not have a dishwasher. Please wash all dishes by hand with the brushes and scrubs and soap provided. If trash bins are full, please place a new trash bag. They are located under all sinks. Please unplug all kitchen appliances when not in use - toaster, range and oven, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. The master bedroom bathroom door does not close or lock. It can be difficult to open if you close it all the way. Because of this, please do not close the door all the way, leave a gap so you can easily open it with your fingers. When using the bonfire, please put out the fire after 9pm using water. We have provided wood for you inside the deck patio. Patio - When no longer in use, please place the cover over the entire patio furniture. The cover is located on top of the table. If rain is in the forecast, please make sure to place the cover on and always place the cover on prior to leaving the deck space. Even though the patio deck is enclosed water can still seep through and cause the furniture to get wet, so we ask you to please place the cover on at all times when not in use. A maximum of three cars are allowed on the property. The garage itself is not available for use, so please do not park your car inside. On departure, please make sure all doors are locked (from the inside) and place the key(s) back in the keylock box and scramble the numbers. The garbage bins are located outside the garage, please throw trash and recycling accordingly. Please place all garbage inside the garbage bin located in the garage labeled "Casella". We were very disappointed in the fact that the owner didn't disclose that the front door didn't work until the day of arrival, this is a major safety concern, and this alone would've been a deal breaker. Definitely plan on eating meals out because this house has very little kitchen equipment, we needed to purchase very basic items just to cook a simple meal. We could WALK to town which was great! First impression pulling in , we almost left. Front door is soooo dirty as well as back porch. The cabin is updated , fresh paint and clean inside, bed was comfortable and we it has everything you need. No dishwashing liquid though. Ad says it has spiders & bugs (I get its in the woods) but ants all over the counters & in our food. They should exterminate and have ant traps in the kitchen. regular extermination does control pests. The maids should wipe down the porch couches. I did it and they were completely covered in mold . Also it says the doors do not work.. I automatically close bathroom doors at home..so I accidentally did and its panicking when you cant get out. Instead of rigging instructions they should just fix the doors. Overall it was a 2 in my VRBO experience so we won't return. It was clean and well equipped. The TV took a little getting used to since it is a streaming service that we were not familiar with. Also, having to put used toilet paper in the trash was a little off-putting, but, overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other travelers.. ##### Mary A. It was sooo clean! And very nicely decorated! We are two couples, brothers and wives, and this house had two very comfortable queen-size beds. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and staples. The bathrooms were very clean, and the hot water worked well in the showers. It was cold outside, so we didn't use the fire pit or the screened in porch, but I imagine they are both wonderful. The only thing that was awkward, was we had to use the garbage in the bathrooms to throw away the toilet paper - we were instructed not to flush it because of the septic system. It wasn't a deal breaker for us, but it wasn't what we were used to. All in all, I would stay here again, and would highly recommend it. ##### Robert S. Check in is easy. You get a code the day before your stay for a lock box with the key. The only issue I had was that we weren’t allowed to flush any toilet paper due to a septic system.
