About this property
“Private 3-Bed Cabin Near Geneva Lake – Walk to Dining & Beach”
“This is a sleeping cabin with limited cooking options, ideal for guests who plan to enjoy the many nearby restaurants and cafés.”
Staying at Harbor View feels like the best of both worlds: a cozy, woodsy-cabin retreat with modern comforts, while also putting you right where all the lakefront charm, outdoor adventure, and small-town Wisconsin hospitality converge. You wake up, maybe walk to the lake, enjoy a day of swimming or hiking or browsing local shops, come back to fire up a grill or relax on the deck — all without needing to drive far.
What makes our property truly unique is its blend of location, history, and the classic lake-cabin feeling that has become increasingly rare around Geneva Lake. Our family has owned and cared for this property since 1970, and over the decades we’ve welcomed multiple generations of returning guests who now think of this place as their “home away from home.” That sense of familiarity, warmth, and tradition is something you simply don’t find everywhere.
The property sits just 1,500 feet from the Geneva Lakefront, yet it still offers the peaceful character of a quiet neighborhood—close to the beach, marina, parks, restaurants, and the iconic lake path. Very few properties today remain this close to the lake while still preserving the original charm of the area: the cozy cabin feel, the woods, the sense of old-time lake living, and the slower pace that makes vacations memorable.
We also take pride in running this as a family business, not a corporate rental. Guests appreciate the personal touch, the long-standing relationships we’ve built, and the knowledge that they’re staying somewhere that has been loved and cared for over 50 years. It’s this combination of location, history, and genuine hospitality that makes our property stand out from the rest.

Property was clean, in a safe area and just a quick drive from all Lake Geneva has to offer. Jim was easy to communicate with - a great host! Perfect spot for our little getaway.
Jim was timely and responsive. Beds are comfy and cabin clean. This cabin is as it reads- for sleeping. If you want to cook and gather a group- choose another cabin. It would be nice if the property had some landscaping and a dedicated outdoor spot/patio for small groups.
We were in the area for a wedding and need a place that allowed our large dog. Jim was very easy to communicate with and provided us with everything we needed. The space was perfect for us and our big buddy. He loved walking the property and getting to sniff everything. I appreciated the large bed and dual bathrooms so both my husband and I could get ready when we needed to.

This was a perfect weekend stop on our way to Chicago from Minneapolis! The cabin is exactly as described. Contrary to other reviews, we found the beds to be comfortable and the tv worked just fine. We enjoyed walking to the Williams Bay beach area and it's a quick drive or uber to the Lake Geneva hot spots. We would stay here again!
Came up for a weekend getaway and concert at the Alpine Valley music amphitheater and had a wonderful time. Rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. Within walking distance of local shops and food just a few blocks from the lake and a short drive to Alpine Valley. Had a great time around the fire ring with some old friend and made some new ones as well. Overall excellent trip!
Jim. Greeted us and showed us the unit. Also, he made it a point to let us know that whatever we needed to contact him as he would be around. Overall, it was a good experience!
We invited too many people to our home over the 4th. We rented this cabin for the overflow. It was perfect. Four adults stayed in it comfortably. They mainly used it for sleeping and showering. They appreciated the two bathrooms. Will do this again in the future as it was affordable.
The cabin worked for us. We were on a girls weekend away. Cooked some meals in( with an electric skillet and crockpot that we brought with us.). The heat worked well, the cabin was clean, we were pleasantly surprised by the regular size refrigerator. Two of the three beds were super comfy. The setting was quaint. I think we were some of the first visitors of the season, as our check in was later than promised ( by 1/2 hour), a few basics were missing( bathroom waste cans, and corkscrew-but we bought one and left it there)
For basic, no frills lodging...the cabin worked. Jim offered a great local resort for a fun fish fry, Lake Geneva is a beautiful city, lots of shops and restaurants. We were with friends, so we had a great weekend.
Fixtures missing bulbs, cars in and out of the lot. One of the toilet handles was discombobulated. One tiny garbage can for the whole unit. Tv didn’t change channels any randomly turned on in the middle of the night. Beds were very stiff. We made friends with the spiders in the corner. Other than that, it wasn’t very far from a lot of activities and some good food. If I had to do it again I would stay somewhere else
The host was wonderful and property was in a good location but be aware that 2/3 the beds were quite uncomfortable 😬. Be prepared. Knowing these matresses are only a step or two above the comfort of cardboard. Basic low end pillows and minimal bed linen.
Floor has some issues, where "panels are not welll supported and you may just get the bottom of your foot pinched between slats, if you dont watch where you step if in socks/ barefoot.
Do remember to bring your own "kitchen" supplies. There are only coffee filters,(No coffee) no toweling. Pleanty of quality towels
An older cabin but was clean and Jim was a great host! It's like camping with walls and a/c! Perfect location for getting around Lake Geneva. Refrigerators worked great and kept out beer ice cold! Thank you Jim!
this place was just what we needed. had a great time and JIm was great and helped out with all requests. We will be staying at one of his cabins when we come back to the lake!

This cabin was a great place for my husband and I for a quick getaway before our first child arrives in November. There was plenty of room for the two of us—it sleeps 6 which might be a bit tight, I think 4 would be the perfect amount! The location was perfect to hit all the touristy shops and restaurants in all the towns. Overall a perfect place to stay if you don’t need anything fancy and don’t want to pay a ton of money!
We loved it! It was a perfect place to come back to for a rest and reset after doing all the typical tourist things in the area. The place was quiet, plenty of space to park our cars, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the a/c was cold! It was everything we needed. Jim was a great host and gave awesome recommendations for places to eat. We will be back!
We brought our 3 teenage daughters up to Lake Geneva for a short birthday trip. We booked the cabin mainly as a place to sleep and relax after our daily outings. It was within walking distance to the Williams Bay Beach and was well suited to relaxing after our daily activities. Most importantly the girls had a great time!
