Lake Clark National Preserve

Clean friendly comfortable. Super happy with stay. Homer is a must see location and Moosetide is excellant place to stay.

The room was nice overall as far as hotel rooms go but at this price it should have been spectacular. The fridge did not have a little freezer. The coffee make didn’t make coffee. The bed was comfy and the bathtub and shower were nice. The cost compared to what you get did not add up. I would definitely not stay here again. We went to spa at $125 pp but it was just a bunch of hot tubs and saunas. I think we could have stayed at the hotel and used the hot tub and sauna there for free. The front desk check in process was terrible. No one offered to help us with our bags and no bag caddy was available. The check in person was rude and un helpful - made me feel like I should not be there because I booked thru Expedia. The tram was just ok. It is a lot of money for not much. The food was all overpriced and most places were closed. Room Service food was all cold and hamburger was raw in middle and it was not expensive. Overall I would never recommend staying here.

Several issues that concern me. When I arrived I had asked for a room on a lower level. I was told that no changes could be made. My wife and I are in our 70’s and we were put on the third floor with no elevator. I was informed that because we didn’t request directly through this lodge again no changes could be made but she never looked at the computer screen to see. Next, we were there 10 days and our room was supposed to be cleaned every three days. That never happened. It was partially cleaned only 1 time. That partial cleaning was our fault because we came back in the midst of the room being cleaned. That was the only time our room was cleaned. Would I stay at this location again. I don’t think so. There are plenty of places we could stay at the same price and would experience follow through on staff’s responsibilities. All the staff were pleasant and communicative. Our room did not have a Mountain View that shows on their website. Out our window was an overgrown lot with trash.
