We were supposed to come here and visit Mcneese State University. When Hurrican Laura hit 4 days before our visit obviously the ability to travel to the area was lost. This hotel refused to refund our money or move our reservation to later in the year. Refused to.do anythinh. Just took the money and made no effort to accomodate at all.
The description is not accurate due to stating it is located by casinos, it is not. Check in staff was rude and did not give any details of extra charges, directions to room, nor was I told the pool was closed. They ran out of towels two days of my stay and I had to wait for laundry to be done before I was able to get clean towels. Parking spaces are very limited and there is not enough spaces for amount of rooms.

Clean property and room. Although, first room we were offered had a strange odor. Front desk was kind enough to give us a different room very quickly.
Also impressed that when we left a necklace behind in the room, the housekeeper immediately brought it to the managers attention and they called us right away..

We found a dead cockroach by the A/C, and food remnants by the desk from a previous guest and housekeeping didn’t even catch it the second day. Clear that they don’t clean the floors, which made me nervous about their general cleaning, especially during COVID. Found several spiders in the sink. The whole place was disgusting, but front desk staff was very friendly. Won’t be back.

Super friendly, clean, great price.
The after check in call to the room was nice just in case something was wrong.
Poor upkeep. Towels smelled like mildew. Loud music til 3 oclock in the morning

The location is perfect if you are visiting someone in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital or want access to shopping and dining out. The full hot breakfast is really good and the staff was super nice.

The room and facility are very nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Only issues were parking and breakfast. Parking is very limited, you may have to park in an area behind the hotel I would categorize as “uncomfortable”. Breakfast left a LOT to be desired. Only things fresh were the fruit and the waffles you make yourself. Everything else seemed to be “prepackaged “, like heat and eat. Didn’t even try the eggs, they don’t resemble eggs. Biscuits and gravy were very good. Biscuits have to be heated in a microwave but the sausage gravy is kept warm in a crockpot.

The staff was super friendly. The room was amazingly clean. The AC actually worked, and there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom to pull out the humidity. Wish it was in a better neighborhood.

Thanks for staying and recommending. Our neighborhood is residential/commercial mixed and on Prien Lake Road one of the busiest streets in Lake Charles.
This is a great value for the price. We were traveling for business and had everything we needed. The bathroom even had an exhaust fan. The A/C worked great. The staff was really friendly. This hotel is on a working class neighborhood but has the quality of something more upscale. More parking would be great, especially with more lighting.
After checking in La Quinta. We were terribly disappointed... the room was not clean and smelled, the floors were not clean and the refrigerator was ice over with mold ... we checked out and went to Hotel . Com and found a room at Comfort Inn ... what a turn around our room was clean , neat and smelled so fresh ... we was able to get a good night sleep... we had been gone all day as we were attending our sister law funeral after she had suffered an accident that took her life , so we were very emotional and thank Comfort Inn for being that comfortable comfort we needed ...

I didn’t like the location and the breakfast wasn’t as I thought it would be . There was a smell as soon as u walk in . Overall I wasn’t pleased like I hoped I would’ve been after reading some of the reviews .
