"Wow this house is such a treasure! It has so much artistry and character in its quirky collections and cultural artifacts, it’s like a house-museum. There’s so much to discover. Highly recommend the scavenger hunt! The house is also super comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully located on the lake. We loved our visit in the winter (with a day trip to Monticello and a campfire in the snow). I’m sure in the summer it’s incredible.The setup is perfect for multiple family groups (our group had two families with 4 adults and 6 kids age 9-15). The loft is huge and a perfect place to hang out and play games. Kaleigh the host is very friendly and responsive. I hope we will be back!"

"Everything was as expected. The house was spacious and the View with the lake was incredible. We had an issue with the gas grill and the host took care of it right away for us. They were very accommodating and communication with them was excellent"

"The cabin was great. Very nicely decorated in the Bear theme and everything was in perfect condition. Good location to the local Marinas, Food Lion and Restaurants. Host was very responsive and even gave early access. Parking was easy, had a Bass Boat and little issues backing it into the driveway. Nice Garage available to park in. Just a great experience."

"Our stay at this property fell far below expectations due to numerous issues. The most serious concern was rodent droppings in the lower kitchen cabinets which raised immediate health concerns. Additionally the overall condition of the property reflected a lack of care and upkeep: - Ceiling leak in the kitchen from upstairs bathroom - An uncovered floor vent in the dining area posed a safety concern - Uneven flooring throughout the home including cracks and chips in the lower level floor - Inaccessible ceiling fan pull chains leaving the fans unusable - Cockroaches and ants on the main floor - Electric outlets in the pergola did not work making that area uninviting during the evening - Disconnected dryer vent - Various building materials and other items were scattered around the unkempt yardWhile the property may appear attractive in the photos, the reality is very different. What is not pictured in the listing is a large, poorly constructed fence that blocks access to the lake and ruins the view from the back balcony. While the owner informed us of the fence and was responsive during our stay (including sending cleaners to address the rodent droppings in the kitchen) I would not recommend staying here."
