With plenty of activities, from surfing to sailing, this area has something for everyone. \## Transit You can reach Luz in about an hour by car from Faro Airport, with rentals available at the airport. Public transport takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Bike rentals are in the same building, while a bus stop and car/scooter rentals are just 150m away, making it easy to explore. Lagos, the nearest larger town, has train and bus connections, but schedules are limited. Problem at check-in, we stood in front of a locked door for an hour, there was no answer from customer service and the promised call back did not come! By chance it turned out that the reason was that the check-in documentation was poor and the key could be taken apart and enlarged. But nobody knew that and it wasn't written.
