Aloberge 6 is located in the canal of the Rose des Vents Marina in Lacolle, overlooking the forest and sheltered from the wind. Classified as "ready-to-camp with electricity (30 amps) ," it offers access to running water on the docks (unheated water) and to the washroom facilities (heated water). Dogs are welcome.
The floating platform measures 12 x 26 feet and is permanently attached to the dock.
The cabin (10 feet x 12 feet) includes:
Sleeping arrangements: Two single benches with slatted bed bases and pillows ( BEDDING NOT INCLUDED ). One of them can be stretched into a double bed (capacity for 3 people, ideal for 2 ).
Kitchen equipment: Compact fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker (with reusable K-cup) and blender.
Small electric grill ( FREE OF CHARGE IF EMPTY AND CLEANED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE ).
Basic tableware for 3 people (including cast iron skillet/wok for barbecues in the picnic area). FREE OF CHARGE IF CLEANED BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE .
Air conditioning: Small air conditioner mounted high up (limited performance in broad daylight during heat waves). This accommodation is not recommended for people sensitive to intense heat.
Heating: small portable electric heater that can also be used as a fan.
Bathroom equipment: Hair dryer and small first aid kit (in one of the bench drawers)
Documentation about the region (including a book) and a small game (cards or other)
Cleaning products (including everything needed for washing dishes and cleaning the grill)

The floating platform includes on the outside :
Large covered front deck (12 feet x 10 feet) with 2 "zero gravity" lounge chairs, a table with extension & 2 chairs and an electric mosquito repellent device.
A bench-storage unit at the rear, containing 2 adult life jackets ( MANDATORY IN BOATS ) and various leisure items (bowling/pocket games, ball, pool items).
The site's facilities are located on the banks of the Richelieu River (a few minutes' walk away), are included in the price (*see conditions), and include:
Picnic area with tables
Propane gas barbecues, with cooking burner and utensils (including at least one under the gazebo in case of rain). * Free use if cleaned after use .
Saltwater swimming pool (unheated).
Outdoor fire pit: Firewood for sale on site.
Sanitary block: Toilets, showers, sinks, hot water
Common room: with free wifi and indoor tables
Small trolleys for transporting your luggage
Free parking near units: Note: Fees apply for electric car charging or for a dock space for your own watercraft (to be discussed with the marina owner).
Self-service access reserved for Aloberge customers, included (*subject to conditions)
Access to bicycles ( helmets not provided)
Access to 8 or 9 different paddle boats (2 tandem pedal kayaks, 2 paddleboards, 2 or 3 canoes, one double kayak, one single kayak) available in good weather until September 21 (opening date of duck hunting on the river)
* Conditions of use: Life jackets are mandatory for boats. Access to these facilities is reserved for individuals in good health (a health form must be completed and returned before your stay to obtain your code) and who accept the associated risks. Access is free of charge provided that the equipment is returned in the same condition, cleanliness, location, and position, and that the locks are re-secured. Specifically, tandem kayaks must have their drain plugs removed to empty any water if it has rained, pedals lifted in seaweed to prevent damage (and again upon return), propellers must be cleared of seaweed if necessary, and standard canoes and kayaks must be returned upside down to prevent water accumulation after rain .

ELECTRICITY: FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED AND DO NOT OVERLOAD THE ELECTRICAL BOX BY PLUGGING MORE THAN ONE ENERGY-INVITING APPLIANCE AT THE SAME TIME (MICROWAVE, KETTLE, TOASTER, AIR CONDITIONER, HEATER) . A $50 fee may apply if our manager has to come out to restore power for a problem that could have been avoided or resolved by following the instructions.
CANCELLATION OR REFUND: NO REFUNDS OUTSIDE OF THE CANCELLATION POLICY, NOR IN CASE OF A GENERAL POWER OUTAGE RESULTING IN A WATER CUT-OFF (See the marina owner for troubleshooting options) nor in case of occasional noise disturbance (a train passes once during the day and once at night on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and there may be gunshots on the river, especially on the opening day of duck hunting around September 21st).
