We normally stay at the older Sandman, but decided to splurge and try the Sandman Signature for three nights for my husband’s birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t live up to the price. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly both at check-in and check-out. When we mentioned our concerns at checkout, they said they would pass them along to the manager, which we appreciated. However, the bathroom design is very poor. If you’re staying here, I would strongly recommend requesting a top floor room. You can hear toilets flushing very clearly from the rooms above and around you, and it happens frequently throughout the night. It was quite disruptive and made it difficult to get a good sleep. The air conditioner also seemed to have a mind of its own and didn’t work consistently. Overall, while the room was clean and the staff were polite, the experience was definitely not worth the price, especially when your sleep is constantly interrupted by loud plumbing noises.

Enjoyed the Fairmont Gold Experience. Gold Lounge was closed for renovations on our last day, but the hotel took great care of us in the restaurant for breakfast. We will be back.
