Renovated to retain its original vintage charm while providing all the modern comforts of a cook’s kitchen, open plan living room, bathroom with large shower, A/C, luxury bedding, and high-speed internet. Permit: 259000 While we won't be at the property when you are, we have a property manager who can be there if you need them, and we're also a phone call away to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Casa Palma is located high up in the La Quinta Cove very close to popular hiking trails like Bear Creek and Palm Oasis. The Cove is entirely residential and benefits from less traffic and city noise than other areas in the desert, and Casa Palma is only a three minute drive away from Old Town La Quinta with its coffee shops, restaurants, markets, antique stores and galleries. Guests will have exclusive access to the entire property during their stay. Casa Palma is fully furnished with two bedrooms. one bath, and an open plan living room that connects to a well stocked cook's kitchen that provides everything you need to prepare your own meals including: all the big and small appliances, good knives, teas and spices, and various ways to make your coffee. Gorgeous views of the property can be seen from every window in the house, and the outdoor garden has various seating areas from which to enjoy a sunny morning or magical sunset hour when the nearby hills turn coral pink. While you can easily walk to the hiking trails nearby, and can also walk or bike to the Old Town of La Quinta, you will need a car to go any place of distance. There is a carport at Casa Palma and plenty of street parking. We're trying something different here: In order to create a relaxing environment where guests can truly unwind, we don't have a TV that is always out, but store one in the closet that's easy to move. There is high speed internet if you want to watch movies or shows on our Smart TV -- or on your own laptops, phones or tablets. We also provide a wide selection of curated books and board games for you to enjoy. So peaceful, so convenient, so perfectly curated. It was the perfect little spot to rest and restore in between the event we were there for (LaCrosse tourney). Equally important was the graciousness and kindness of the host who spoke and cried with me as I explained why (the one who booked the place) would not be going after all. I have stayed here twice now and would recommend it. This last time I used it as a launching point to visit the southern end of Joshua Tree Park. It was also reasonably convenient for getting to the Palm Springs area. It is located in a residential neighborhood and close to main access roads and lots of amenities. The lot is a bit larger than expected, with mature trees and bushes as well as being fenced in all around. As a result, the property feels more secluded/private than might be expected for this neighborhood. I like the kitchen a lot and find it easy to use plus I enjoy the retro vibe. The lighting is good for reading in the main area as well as in the bedrooms. It's a bright and sunny environment with the drapes and blinds open as well. There is also a lot of room in the yard with several seating areas to choose from so if it isn't too hot you aren't limited to being indoors. Overall, my stay worked out very well. As mentioned, the property itself is quite nice. I also feel that having a positive experience with the owners is important to a good vacation. I had success working with the owner (Tamara) to resolve a small problem upon arrival. She was professional and got in touch with me right away to fix things. Very helpful.
