We had such a great time at this cozy cabin! It was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The rustic details made it feel so warm and welcoming, and the property was beautifully maintained. The hot tub and amenities were fantastic, and our dog absolutely loved it here too! The host was very responsive and made everything so easy. Perfect place to unplug and unwind — we’d definitely come back!
Great cabin, very spacious and well kept. Lots of amenities, will book again!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. Very cozy and perfect for our ski vacation for spring break. The kids asked when we could stay again before we ever left!
Beautiful cabin with rich history found in the photo book. The cabin was in a central location to head to both the mountains and lakes. Lisa, the host was an absolute gem and wonderful to work with. We had kids ages 4,3,2 and 1 present and there was a great area upstairs fully stocked with kid books and toys and they LOVED it. We made some amazing meals in the kitchen and it's really well stocked for those who like cooking! Very highly recommend!
The cabin was super cute, very relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. There was a Christmas tree set up and it was a beautiful surprise. We would definitely visit again.
Great location to horseback riding, hikes and water activities. Plenty of space to park three cars. We used both indoors and outdoor patios and the hot tub. Our two families of four stayed here (four 50 yo and four teens), and there was enough space we weren’t on top of each other. The home is private and is clean, too! If we are in the area, we will certainly stay again! La Pine itself I wish I had more time in, because two full days is not near enough!
We really enjoyed our stay. Just the place for a little 4 night getaway. The wood stove was awsome!!! While it was only the two of us, this cabin would be perfect for a family, with plenty of sleeping and seating arraignments. Lot's of love went into building this cabin...check out their cabin build book while you are there, it's really neat!!!
This was the perfect place to stay in with our pup! It's private, fenced and a beautiful location with a great space to enjoy and explore the BLM trails out the back gate. It was exactly as described, sparkling clean, and the beds were very comfy. It is also a great jumping off point for Mt. Bachelor or other outdoor activities. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. I look forward to coming back again!
The hosts are super. Lisa made sure we had everything we needed. She communicated quickly and completely. She is very accommodating. The home is beautiful and welcoming. Delton and Lisa have thought of everything. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked. The decor says "rustic lodge" but the amenities say "high-end hotel." The grounds are beautiful. The cabin is surrounded by timber, a lot of it is pine, and pine smells so good! There is a large deck. The pictures do not do it justice. On the deck is a hot tub that my family used to the fullest. We did not use the fire pit, but this cabin has TWO; one wood burning and one propane. There are neighbors nearby, but it is so quiet; very much a "country" feel. Honestly, I would change nothing. I am definitely going to be booking again. So...maybe I should change this review, so it doesn't book up too fast? ;)
We loved the log cabin. There was plenty of room for our group, plenty of parking and plenty of places for the group to gather indoors or out. We enjoyed the hot tub every day and I particularly enjoyed the chair lift porch swing. We used the location for exploring south and east of La Pine, there is plenty to see and do out there. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.
Close to outdoor adventures in the Newberry Caldera area
I've been camping and exploring the Newberry Caldera area since I was a child, but I never knew about the small neighborhood this cabin was located in! This cabin was just minutes away from fun outdoor adventures to waterfalls and hot springs. This authentic log cabin included a cozy wood stove, well stocked woodpile, clean hot tub, and comfortable space for our group. Our kids loved the large loft area for a group sleepover too! The host was quick to communicate and we felt very welcomed.
Very pretty cabin. Wonderful communication with the host. Only thing was there was some dog fur on couch and floors when we arrived, which didnt really matter as we have dogs and dog fur is the new glitter but someone else may not have appreciated that. Also we had to make sure to clean the dishes before use as many of them had fingerprints on glass and were not clean. Other than that it was a lovely relaxing stay and i give it a 4.9 star review.
Older, large log cabin. Main heat is wood stove. No Wi-Fi but pretty good mobile signal.
Probably one of the first dwellings in this development. Comfortable place, nice beds and fully equipped kitchen. Great place if you are in the right state of mind (slowed down).
Just off the road up to Paulina L. And East L. Across hwy 97 is Burgess rd. which leads up the Cascade lakes.
We had a great time there.
As the listing says, this is a rustic cabin. We loved it because of that! This house was so perfectly well appointed, with all of the amenities! It was just hubs and I for the weekend, but 10-15 people would have been comfortable here without tripping over each other. I loved the woodsy touches throughout the house. There was even a record player which added to the rustic feel. A couple points of information;in the winter time, you would definitely want to check in with the host and make sure the driveway has been plowed. We were fine in our 4wd truck, but a smaller car would have had trouble because the area wasn't plowed well enough to turn around. Also, the hot tub is not secluded. The cabin is in a rural neighborhood, so there is lots of space between neighbors, but there are neighbors. This is information only and did not detract from the experience for us.
Four of us sisters spent 2 nights to celebrate a 50th Birthday and had such a nice time!!
There was a large spacious living room with soo many recliners and throw blankets as well as a cute record player with many selections. Nice tv to watch movies on.
We could have had our own rooms but 2 of us opted to share the loft bedroom above the living room that had 3 queen beds. There is a room above the kitchen accessible by a steep ladder. We thought it was fun and gave “Little House on the Prairie” vibes. We didn’t stay up there, but it was super nice and would have if we were a younger.
The hot tub was amazing!! It was clean and ready when we arrived. The jets were soo nice and we liked that it was covered so we didn’t get rained on.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and much more.
If I had to think of something we could have used, it would have been a washer and dryer to clean our bathing suits, but honestly, not a problem for us.
We look forward to staying here again. This time with our husbands.
This was a wonderful weekend getaway. It was fun to see the history of the cabin and how it was built! Having BLM land right out the back door made for a wonderful stroll in the unusually warm winter weather. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Although you could still see neighbors through, it seems like a very quiet neighborhood and it was plenty of space.
