Top La Petite-Verriere Hotel Reviews

Stylish living in the village square with a large terrace overlooking the Morvan

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful fortnight at the old forge with our little dog. The pretty little cottage was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The view from the cottage was absolutely beautiful. Ana was lovely, she gave us a few tips for some lovely lakeside walks and restaurants."

CHALET ON THE SHORES OF LAKE DES SETTONS in Montsauche-les-Settons

10/10 Excellent

Magnificent 18th century château, swimming pool , ideal for a get-together

8/10 Good

Cottage 2 star with panoramic views of the mountains of Morvan.

8/10 Good

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to La Petite-Verriere?

The best time to visit La Petite-Verriere is during the warmer months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring the Bourgogne region.

During May and June, the countryside is lush and green, and the temperatures are comfortable for outdoor activities like cycling or walking through the Morvan Regional Natural Park. It's also a wonderful time for wine tasting tours as the vineyards are vibrant.

July and August offer the warmest weather, superb for enjoying the local lakes and outdoor markets. Many villages host local festivals during this period, giving you a chance to experience regional traditions. While it can be busier with other travellers, the longer daylight hours allow for more extensive exploration.

September is another excellent month, with cooler, crisp air and the start of the grape harvest, which is a significant event in Bourgogne. The autumn colours begin to emerge, making the landscape particularly picturesque.
