"The hotel’s location is excellent, directly across from Lausanne train station, making it very convenient for travelers. However, the property shows its age. The furniture was outdated and worn, the bed frame and carpets showed significant wear, the drapes and comforter had holes, and the room had a strong musty smell. While the bathroom and common areas were clean, the room’s condition did not feel consistent with a 4-star property. On the positive side, the staff was accommodating and responsive throughout my stay. One additional note: I booked six prepaid nights through Expedia but informed the front desk at check-in and checkout that I would leave one day early and use only five nights. I requested a refund through Expedia. Expedia later said they had contacted the hotel multiple times for approval, but their emails went unanswered. If you encounter a similar situation, obtain written confirmation of any refund approval before departure and provide it to Expedia. Doing so may save considerable time and frustration. Overall, the location is excellent and the staff is helpful, but the condition of my room fell well short of my expectations for a 4-star hotel."

"Parking very easy awesome. Breakfast perfect and cheap if you have to pay but mine was included. Beach 10 min walk but dont go to university area on GPS as get lost..staff should explain exact directions and tell you train is free to other places without asking. There is a shuttle too. Overall great nearly 5 star but staff should know and explain great places and direct carefully and not after the fact. Other strange things are no ice machi es, no dressers in rooms and soaps that smell very bad. This is why 3-4 star but close to 5 if.mamanagement is not stubborn to make changes which i detected. "Great breakfast. Dinner expensive. The hotel has been undergoing renovations since 2024 and there is still a fair bit to do. Because of scaffolding a lot of the balconies and windows are locked shut. There is no air conditioning. Luckily we changed to a room that had opening windows and balcony. The indoor spa areas were closed but the 2outdoor thermal pools were great.The hotel has lovely tall domed ceilings and will be fabulous once finished. A lot of the bedrooms still need decorating and I don’t think there are plans for air conditioning which could be a problem in the summer.We had a great couple of days but would check state of rooms and amenities before booking."
