This well appointed and beautifully furnished Villa is situated on the tranquil hills of Tossal Gros, above the village of La Font D'en Carros, and the towns of Oliva and Gandia, with all their shops, bars and restaurants, and kilometers of blue flag beaches.We do not accept children under 8 years
This home is situated in a quiet residential area. There is parking fior one car.
An ideal area for walking in the beautiful mountains of the Northern Costa Blanca, and our Villa is the perfect place to return to after a day out exploring.
The villa offers spectacular views west to the mountains then over the Safor Valley as far as the mountains behind Valencia, and then to the East uninterrupted views over the Mediterranean Sea, and then to the South towards the Montgo and Denia.
In the evening as the sun sets behind the mountains the colours are outstanding, and s dusk arrives the lights all over the valley below offer a delightful and peaceful ambiance.
This Villa is the ideal home from home for those wanting to stay in this glorious part of Spain.
Sit and relax on one of the terraces with a long cool drink and settle down to watch the sunset and then the fireworks from one of the many fiestas in the area, or curl up in the lounge in front of the fire.
Your bed linen and towels are changed every 7 days. The Villa has a quick clean at the same time.
We provide all the towels you could possibly need - beach, pool and bathroom, thus saving valuable space in your baggage!
Casa Romero is a 2 bed 2 bath Villa , with an 8 x 4 meter private pool and panoramic views from the pool terrace and the Naya and Wi-Fi is available throughout the Villa.
The Master bedroom which looks out to sea has air conditioning, a built in wardrobe, with drawers, hanging rail and coat hangers, bedside cabinets with lamps and comes with an en-suite shower room comprising of shower cubicle, sink with cupboards and draws, WC and a heated towel rail.
The second bedroom has two twin beds, bed side cabinets, a built in wardrobe with hanging rail, coat hangers and drawers. It also has air conditioning
The Family bathroom has a shower, a bath, sink and toilet.
The open plan lounge and dining area offers comfortable seating for five and dining for six, a wood burning stove and electric heaters (for the cooler months November through March), double sliding doors to the Naya (covered terrace), with sea views, and arched access to the kitchen.
The fully fitted kitchen comprises a double sink, washing machine, microwave, Fridge freezer, oven and hob. Iron and ironing board.
The recently extended Naya offers alfresco dining and a lounging area, This area is cooler in the height of the summer with more shade and a cooling light breeze. The naya has panoramic views from the mountains in the west, out to the Mediterranean sea and the Montgo in the distance to the South.
There are sun beds on the pool terrace, with some shading, and another table and chairs.
The area is rich in history, with numerous towns and villages to explore. Guides are available in the Villa.
John is also on hand to offer advice and suggestions of where to go and what to do.
Although he sleeps in the appartment he is rarely visible unless you call him. He cleans the pool and waters the plants before 1100\. The rest of the day he will be in the mountains or at the beach.
The pool and terraces are solely for our guests and we are well aware of the need for privacy.
There are kilometers of blue flag beaches, from the bustle of Gandia in the West to the quieter sand dunes to the East and South of Oliva.
Water sports are available off the beach in the summer months.
Tennis, horse riding and golf are all available in the immediate area.
If you enjoy walking - Either a gentle stroll or a strenuous six hour mountain walk then Casa Romero is ideally situated for you. Walks can be taken with the Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers, or John can advise you.
The Mediterranean equestrian tour is based in Oliva Nova in the autumn and spring. Casa Romero is ideally placed to attend these events - a 15 minute drive away.
Please note that there are steps up to the front door of the Villa and from the Villa to the Pool Terrace, and from the Naya to the terrace

#### Wonderful stay at Casa Romero
We had a great time whilst staying at the villa. John and Maggie were great hosts and available to help as and when needed. The villa itself had everything you would need and due to its elevated position had stunning views across the mountains and coastline. Short driving distance to coast and a number of nearby villages, commentary all very accurate. Would highly recommend!

Property as described. Great views and lovely pool. It was great to find basic food/kitchen items - sugar/salt/cling film/foil etc. If I was to highlight any negative points - the only thing I can think of is the only mirrors were in the bathrooms - a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms would have been useful! Other than that - great find.

#### Beautiful villa, lovely owners
We know this area well so were delighted with the location (a car is essential) as it is so quiet and peaceful yet just a ten minute drive from Oliva, a bustling market town beside the mosy glorious stretch of coastline you could imagine. The villa has wonderful terracing where you can watch the world go by below. There are so many seating options to choose from too! The pool is immaculate and the gardens beautiful. This is one of the best stays we have ever had. The owners are so kind and could not help more, giving us great recommendations for places to eat and lending us their own beach gear. Cannot recommend this place enough. Total 5 star!

The Villa is in a great location, very quiet and relaxing with great views from the terrace, it is also very well equipped with everything you need during your stay. The pool is great. The hosts John & Maggie are brilliant, they made us feel very welcome and were really helpful.

#### Maison superbe terrasse
Parfaites, mis à part john qui peut être selon l'heure Dr Jekyll OU Mr hyde. Vue magnifique, piscine très propre mais avec seulement 2 transats pour 4 ! Maison très bien équipée et très propre. Maggie que nous avons vu le jour de ne départ est très gentille et attentionnée.

#### Rustige locatie met schitterend uitzicht
Gastvrij ontvangst met boodschappenpakket. John en Maggie hebben het prima voor elkaar, zeer behulpzaam, reageren snel bij vragen. Goede tips mogen ontvangen voor de omgeving en restaurants. Altijd een schaduwplek op het balkon, zwembad ligt perfect in de zon. Kortom een heerlijk verblijf!

#### Super Villa für einen erholsamen Urlaub
Das Haus liegt an einem Hang, dadurch hat man von der Terrasse stets eine traumhafte Aussicht. Die weiter entfernte Autobahn war zwar zu hören, ist aber nicht übermässig laut und war am zweiten Tag vergessen... Der Pool ist gut gepflegt und sauber. Uns hat es im Haus an nichts gefehlt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, sogar die Kochmesser waren scharf (was wirklich selten vorkommt!). Haus und Austtattung sind liebevoll gepflegt und sauber. John ist die Liebenswürdigkeit in Person und hat immer einen Tipp parat, falls erwünscht. Die Privatsphäre war stets gewahrt und die Corona-Verordnungen wurden pefekt eingehalten. Das Haus können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen, wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

#### Vacaciones relajadas
La casa es lo que promete, un remanso de paz y tranquilidad. Está en un alto y tiene una carretera con bastante pendiente pero bien asfaltada. Está ubicada cerca de la población de Oliva que tiene de todo. Es una población bastante grande. Hemos pasado 10 días disfrutando de la casa y de la piscina. Volvereíamos sin ninguna duda. En un apartamento, que se encuentra en la parte inferior de la casa, vive el propietario pero han sido muy discretos, no estaban casi nunca y no les hemos visto si no les hemos llamado. Falló el 2º día el wifi y se esforzaron en resolverlo; finalmente, solucionado el problema, nos devolvienon parte de lo abonado por el perjuicio generado por la averia. John y Maggie habeis sido unos anfitriones excelentes. Muchas gracias por hacer de nuestras vacaciones un grato recuerdo.

#### Unos días perfectos
Hemos pasado unos dias perfectos en Casa Romero. La casa, las vistas, instalaciones y piscina están impecables, todo muy cuidado. La hospitalidad inmejorable. John te da mucha privacidad ya que no suele estar en la casa durante el día. Ha sido muy antento está siempre disponible por si necesitas algo. Un sitio muy recomendable para pasar unos días de vacaciones tranquilos.

#### Beautiful views, beautifully maintained and equipped; a gem
The photos of this beautiful villa do not do it justice. It has more than enough room for four adults, is well equipped throughout and has the most glorious 270 degree panorama view. The pool is very well maintained has chairs, table and loungers. Inside and out it is spotlessly clean. Highly recommended for a very relaxing break.

Op berg gelegen met bijzonder uitzicht op zee. Lekker zwembad en groot balkon. Zeer verzorgd en compleet ingericht. Meubels iets gedateerd maar verder wel alles aanwezig. Rustig en met privacy. Strand en plaatsjes dichtbij.

Don't book this property! Boek deze accommodatie niet! Nicht zu empfehlen! No recomendado! Non recommande! Initially everything was fine as previous reviews stated. The property is beautiful. But when it comes to the owners, especially the husband who is living beneath the property please watch out. He has a very bad temper. No privacy, the guy was sneeking around the property, shouted and did not want anybody to rent his selfbuild home any longer, but he had no choice since there is an ongoing homeimprovement project on their appartment below, that is not yet finished. Do not think that you will have access to the amenities that are stated. Airco not allowed more then 15 minutes prior bedtime. Not even if it is 31 degrees inside. Do not put on the lights at the pool. The double bed is too small. Insectscreens at the sleeping rooms but not in the doors of living room. So not able to have the doors open in the evening to cool off. Much muskitos. But main thing: the bad temper of the owner, his wife was ok but she left after a few days to return to the UK. You are not renting this house as a service to you or giving you a nice holiday, no you rent it only for the owners benefit. Never experienced this before. Don't book and better look for something else!! Schrecklicher Eigentuemer, wir wuerden es nie mehr buchen! Boek dit niet, we zijn kortgeleden daar geweest voor elf dagen en het was verschrikkelijk omdat de eigenaar helemaal niet wilde dat we daar nog waren omdat ze continu nog bezig zijn met verbouwingen en dat moet ergens van betaald worden natuurlijk. Kennelijk hadden alle verbouwingen al af moeten zijn maar was dus niet zo. De eigenaar is extreem, je voelt je echt niet vrij en je wordt als een kind behandeld en je zult geen gebruik kunnen maken van de voorzieningen die worden vermeld. Het was zelfs zo erg dat wij (gezin met 2 oudere kinderen) besloten om een dag eerder dan gepland weg te gaan omdat de eigenaar helemaal door het lint ging nadat we de vorige dag een lamp vergeten waren uit te doen. Het was verschrikkelijk. Nu hopen we natuurlijk op een gedeeltelijke tegemoetkoming maar hebben geen schijn van kans. Dus boek dit niet en zoek alsjeblieft verder! Overigens hebben we vaker via deze site huizen geboekt en dat was allemaal prima, zowel het contact, betaling en verhuurders eigenlijk nooit problemen mee gehad. Dus laat dit je niet ontmoedigen. Maar in dit geval, verschrikkelijk dus gewoon even verder zoeken. Fijne vakantie.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Casa Romero - we were welcomed by John the owner who was very friendly and helpful. The villa is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. This included a welcome pack to get us started and also shampoos, washing and cleaning products plus cooking oils, herbs and spices in the cupboards. The view from the Naya is nothing short of spectacular and must be over 270' wide - there was always something to look at and time just flew by! The garden is filled with many exotic plants and is beautifully maintained. The pool area is great too! It was reassuring to know John was on hand if any problems occurred (none did of course!) but he was mindful that our privacy was paramount. He has a lot of local and horticultural knowledge. Next time we visit we will definitely join one of his organised walks taking in some of the sights. He was also kind enough to give up his time to take us for a short tour of some of the local villages which we thoroughly enjoyed. The booking process was very straightforward and Maggie answered any queries promptly. We had a great time and would have no hesitation in recommending this villa. We look forward to returning soon.

#### Beautiful house, great view
We spend a short break (one week) in Casa Romero and we are not disappointed. First surprise was the warm welcome with wine etc in the fridge and bread, so it was not necessary to go straight to the supermarket for the first day needs. It was too cold for the pool. We did eat al fresco every day, even when we need a coat on 1 day. The terrace is beautiful with a stunning view. In a one hour drive you are in Valencia (or Alicante when you take the wrong highway driveway). For the beach you need a few minutes. For us it's clear this is not the last time we spend our holiday in this area (and Casa Romero). Thanks to Maggie and John.

#### Cauchemar
Nous réservons cette villa ..l argent est débité immédiatement. J envoie un message au propriétaire pour lui demander la possibilité de faire le Check out plutard dans la matinée...à notre grande surprise il nous informe qu'il a loué la maison à quelqu un d autre. On l aurais jamais su si on a pas échangé avec lui pour lui demander une info. Trois semaines écoulées nous ne sommes toujours pas remboursés . Un manque de professionnalisme impressionnant

#### Beautiful villa and welcoming hosts
We had a fabulous time at Casa Romero and John and Maggie made us feel really welcome and helped by getting some essentials in ready for our arrival. The villa is beautiful and the pool was fully utilised by us as the weather was superb. It was lovely exploring the surrounding villages and towns with beautiful beaches. #### Fantastic property, very impressive, great pool, incredible views.
Well equipped. The owners have built a beautiful home, with great planting and architectural features. The hill climb in the car is interesting on first visit, but easy after that! Thanks John and Maggie
