Come get away from it all at this peaceful retreat. 5 minutes from the Kickapoo reserve and Bare beach, 9 mins from the town of La Farge and 30 mins from Viroqua, this tranquil place is within reach of all the beauty the Driftless has to offer.

Incredible fishing, kayaking, canoeing and hiking all outside your door!

Lovingly built by an artist, you will find unique little touches throughout the house and in the gardens. Enjoy a soak in the queens bathtub or watch the epic sunsets on the hand-laid patio.

Have your morning coffee on the deck or star gaze around the fire at night. On summer nights, watch the firefly show as thousands dance through the quiet meadow. In the fall, watch herds of deer stroll right through the property.

Great views & a quiet escape

Wonderful accommodations. My husband and I stayed. Quiet, beautiful views, and close to Hillsboro. Well stocked kitchen, full size appliances, and the bath is beautiful.

Nice Stay

Artist Retreat was as listed. Beautiful location, well stocked with everything needed. Fall colors were great. We were too late in the year for the flowers and plantings but it would be beautiful in Spring and Summer. Recommend for Seniors: nice access to the upstairs bedroom. Easy staircase up with easy access to deck. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect setting

Staying at this lovely home helped make a wonderful weekend experience in the Driftless. The home was well decorated and offered tranquility and comforting energy. The beautiful wildflowers and property were a perfect place to catch our breath. We will definitely be back.
