This apartment in La Couvertoirade was the perfect place to experience this quiet corner of southern France. Entering the walled village is like stepping back in time, and all the stresses of modern life seem to melt away as well. The apartment was perfectly situated on a small street with plenty of rentaurants nearby (as well as a tiny shop with fresh bread, cheese, and drinks). The apartment included special parking reserved only for residents very close to the main gate into town. It was truly a lovely stay! ##### Jason T. Joliement decoré comme l'intérieur d'un chalet. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce très beau village de la couvertoirade. Les artisans et restaurateurs sont très sympathiques . Les repas sont à base de produits régionaux un vrai régal autant pour les yeux que pour le palet. Le soir nous assistons au retour des brebis avec leur berger et les chiens; Spectacle magnifique que ces 300 têtes de brebis rentrant au bercail . On ne repars pas de ce site sans un pincement au coeur surtout quand on y a passé 15 jours. Pour les marcheurs il y a de superbes randonnées à faire. C'est vraiment une région et un site à découvrir sans hésiter. Merci à florence et son époux de nous avoir gentiment accueillit avec notre chien . ##### eric l. Tout dans le village est d'une rare authenticité, château, remparts, rues étroites pavées sans voiture, maison et couvertures de pierres, échoppes et restaurants. La location est totalement intégrée dans ce décor d'un autre temps. L'ambiance très animée en journée par le flux des visiteurs laisse place en soirée au calme des terrasses de cafés et restaurants. Le gîte est vraiment charmant, confortable, bien équipé et chaleureusement décoré. Les propriétaires Florence et Michel sont très attentionnés, aiment partager leur amour du village et de leur région. Nous avons apprécié leurs conseils de visites, ballades, resto... Très bonne écoute des propriétaires / bug sur horaire en arrivée.. Très bon relationnel... Logis très ..très agréable ...et idéalement...situé dans l'enceinte. Pas de pertrurbations notables.. la nuit la cité n'est occupée que par peu d'habitants....Art de vivre .. décalé ... et reposant dû aux vieilles pierres et aussi aux commerçants quasi tous de qualité, aux cafetiers, au boulanger ( aux pains atypiques aux recettes ancestrales et pastorales) , aux boutiques de marchands aimables et peu mercantiles... le jeudi sur place du village des tables sont dressées et produits du terroir ( bio...) proposés à coût honnête ( très honnête pour des "gens de la ville" habitués à tout payer et bientôt leur air respiré...). Circuit des Templiers à faire... chacune des cités a à coeur de proposer à tour de rôle des circuits ludiques pour les enfants . Bref c'était un séjour des plus agréables...quasi hors du temps...pêche (fausse pêche...) à l'écrevisse incluse dans la Sorgue...Retourner dans cette région et expressément dans ce logis pour creuser encore plus les alentours est d'ores et déjà envisagé... ##### JOEL D. ---
