We upgraded to room that was part of the old Jesuit monastery with lots of stone, very nice. Nice green area in the back and cozy little areas for sitting. Staff was very knowledgeable/helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel!
What a wonderful place. They have the courtyard in the middle that is so inviting. Great for a cup of coffe or drink in the evening. The service was amazing and the breakfast was really good. Easy walk to the city center and the local places to eat.
Amazing hospitality and friendliness. It felt like we had arrived at a friend’s home. We had to make changes to our booking due to flight delays, but the staff made it easy for us and also made sure we didn’t have any additional inconveniences. This is an old building which used to be a Jesuit residence, but this really adds to its charm. And the patio area is nice and quiet. The hotel sits just outside of the old city wall but access is just across the street. Overall, I do recommend this place when visiting Santiago de Compostela.
Lots of communal areas to sit, table and chairs on the terrace outside our room, also tables in the garden and in the hotel building itself. There was also a useful lounge with two computers and printers. We had a kettle in the room, the breakfasts were really good and the staff were welcoming.
We stayed here 2 nights after the Camino del Norte and loved it. A beautiful, well located historic building; efficient friendly staff, and a great breakfast.

Excellent location, old hotel in a regular conditions. The staff was friendly BUT, the room was out of soap, the blower every 30 seconds turn off, the bed was regular. The breakfast was good and the gardens are beautiful. In front of old town. They need to improved and made some renovations in the room and bathrooms.
It was wonderfully located, about a five minute walk from Cathedral de Santiago de Compostela. They printed our train tickets out for us and recommended a great place to eat. The view from our room was amazing
This place is amazing. Looks somewhat plain from the front, but walk through the door and be greater by a friendly and courteous staff. Hotel is incredibly beautiful inside with stone, wood and original art. Location to Cathedral was perfect with a wonderful Mercado just outside the front door. Worth every euro. Wish I had more than two days to spend in this charming place.
We decided to splurge in a nice hotel after completing the Camino de Santiago. It was great to have a big, comfortable room with all the extra amenities. The service was terrific and the quiet location was superb. We woke up the next day we’ll rested.
An absolute gem! It is easy walking-wheelchair distance to center of Santiago, and rooms view quiet, beautiful park. The service was superb- very helpful and pleasant staff.
8.31.22 Stayed in many sub par locations for same price as an upscale experience I had at Virxe da Cerca. from the front desk to the lovely young lady at the bar/restaurant, there was nothing but over the top courteous service. all went the extra mile to make my brief stay as pleasant as possible. The room was very clean and very comfortable. I look at bathrooms first (a chef thing i guess) and the bathroom was thoroughly clean and well appointed. the front desk gentleman (I'm sorry but forgot his name) set me up with my taxi to airport as well as a to go pack as i was too early for breakfast. All in All a very nice stay and will look no further on my next trip back next year.
A terrific, quiet oasis right across the street from the chaos of markets and pilgrims. With lovely gardens and luxurious rooms, this is a hidden gem in the city.
Checkin was straightforward and the hotel is beautiful. Our room was spacious and well stocked. The only recommendation I could make is for an in room coffee maker.
This was an old sanitorium--for tuberculosis--back in the day. The staff was kind, including wait staff and bar keeper, and the location was excellent.
An easy 45 minute drive north from Porto you’ll find this hacienda style hotel but we would have driven twice that to find this wonderful oasis. The surroundings were immaculate and the entire place exudes romantic charm. Beautiful windswept beaches are nearby but honestly we would have been content with the sparkling pool and the zen provided by the manicured landscape. Carla and the staff were particularly attentive and the included breakfast was just about right. Go out of your way if you must, it is worth the visit.
