Heel veel dingen spreken voor zichzelf en anders een schrift met duidelijke uitleg neerleggen. Veelal in de keuken verbleven (met een toch wel ontoereikende ondiepe stenen spoelbak) omdat wij de huiskamer niet zo gezellig vonden. De twee slaapkamers zijn wel prima, goed verzorgd en goede bedden. Achter het huis staat een verdwaald flatgebouwtje, maar het staat niet in het zicht en geeft ook geen overlast van geluid of drukte. Als je eenmaal aan het huis gewend bent en aan z'n eigenaardigheden, zeg maar heel eigen karakter, is het et toch wel goed toeven. Het is geen rijke streek waar het huis staat, met opvallend veel verlaten en ingezakte of verwaarloosde huizen en dorpen, maar de natuur is er prachtig. We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad in dit heerlijke huis. ... Wat een pareltje! We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad in dit heerlijke huis. We waren er twee weken, met drie kinderen van 9 jaar, 6 jaar en 1,5\. Het huis dateert uit 1813 en heeft daardoor veel karakter. Het wordt heel goed schoon gehouden en is van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaar is enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij aankomst stonden koekjes klaar, en sap en bier koud. Je krijgt een rondleiding en goede instructies over het huisje. Door deze instructie is het verblijf heel aangenaam geweest, met name met betrekking tot het klimaat in het huisje. Wij hebben een ruime week temperaturen van 36 graden gehad maar hebben het huisje van binnen heerlijk koel kunnen houden, zonder airco. De tuin is fantastisch. Wat hebben we daarvan genoten! Een klein paradijsje voor jezelf. De omgeving is net zo mooi. Vele kleine uitstapjes gedaan, mooie plekken bezocht en genoten van de natuur en de dorpjes. Onze tips voor kleine uitstapjes: - wandeling door Plombieres les Bains. Fascinerend hoe de grandeur van vroeger volledig vergaan is - glasblazerij in Rochere - snoepfabriekje in Darney - miniatuurpark in Plombieres - Ferme Aventure voor kinderen - Ecomusee du pays de la cerise - Epinal (kasteel+park, museum Chaptire en kerkje) - wandeling naar source du Planey - Automuseum in Mulhouse (wel wat verder rijden maar erg leuk) ##### Lesley T. De woning is gelegen op het platteland en is compleet uitgerust met kooktoestel, koelkast, oven, vaatwasser en wasmachine. Ook is er een houtkachel en er zijn elektrische kachels. De slaapkamers zijn groot en voorzien van rolluiken. Het is een voormalige boerderij uit 1813 met dikke muren, waardoor het altijd koel is binnen. Voor de boerderij kun je overal de tuinstoelen neerzetten en er is nog een grote tuin bij. Er is wifi en een TV met Franse en Duitse zenders. De vriendelijke eigenaar woont aanpandig en geeft een uitgebreide inleiding in het Frans of in het Engels. Daarna merk je niets meer van de buren. Nabij is een grote en complete supermarkt. Er zijn diverse bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving, met heel veel natuur en oude stadjes. Wij hebben hier twee weken een heel fijne vakantie gehad. ##### Henk J. Ondanks dat het weer niet helemaal ... Een heerlijk weekje frankrijk achter de rug! Ondanks dat het weer niet helemaal mee zat hebben we een heerlijk weekje gehad in chapelle-aux bois. Het huis was fantastisch helaas had de tv geen Nederlandse zenders en kan de badkamer wel een kleine update gebruiken. Maar voor de rest was het geweldig. Een gezellige keuken een meer dan ruime woonkamer met een heerlijke houtkachel 2 goede stoelen en lekkere hangbank, boven twee hele ruime kamers met grote kasten waar je de kleding goed in kan opbergen. In een kast stond zelfs een strijkplank met strijkbout. Dan was er nog een openruimte met nog een bed voor een persoon. Ook stond er nog een kinderbedje en een kinderstoel voor de kleine mens onder ons. Buiten een mooie ruime privé tuin die in zijn geheel omheind was door een hek en bomen. Waar de hele dag door zingende vogels om je heen waren en af en toe kwam er een eekhoorntje even langs om aan een dennenappel te komen knagen. En voor de auto was er een carpoort waar ook nog de nodige goede tuinstoelen en tafels stonden opgeslagen. De omgeving is prachtig er zijn 5 verschillende routes vanuit het huis om te gaan wandelen, en als uitvalsbasis om dag tripjes te maken zit je er ook prima! En als laatste de eigenaar van het huis, hij was ontzettend behulpzaam en deed stinken zijn best om zich verstaanbaar te maken in het engels voor ons. Kortom echt een aanrader dit huis! We zijn hartelijk ontvangen door de zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, die in een combinatie van Frans en Engels een uitgebreide rondleiding gaf. De accommodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien. Een terras met tuinset is beschikbaar, en daar achter ligt een groot grasveld om te kunnen frisbeeën, badmintonnen, enzovoorts. De omgeving leent zich uitstekend om te wandelen. In de Vogezen zijn veel wandelroutes uitgezet. Enkele daarvan lopen direct langs de accommodatie. Het huis is voorzien van moderne gemakken, maar behoudt zijn originele sfeer (1813). Bij aankomst kwam de eigenaar meteen naar buiten. Hij woont achter het huis, maar heeft een eigen ingang en je ziet hem verder bijna niet. We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen een rondleiding door het huis van zo'n 3 kwartier. Het huis is een wat oud huis met dikke muren, heerlijk koel in de zomer. Er zijn veel authentieke details, zoals een stenen aanrecht, een groot fornuis (dat alleen 's winters gebruikt wordt) en een grote open haard in de kamer. Verder heeft het huis wel alle moderne dingen ook zoals een magnetron, oven, vaatwasser, wasmachine en goede wifi. De televisie heeft helaas geen nederlandse zenders. Het is heel knus ingericht, de eigenaren hebben er veel kreativiteit ingestopt. De omgeving is heuvelachtig, bosrijk en allerlei leuke kleine plaatsjes. Ook veel meertjes in de omgeving. Wel een beetje afgelegen, de eerste grote stad Epinel ligt zo'n 29 km verderop. Heerlijk huis, ook in de winter. Mooie grote open haard in de woonkamer met 2 heerlijke fauteuils. Wij hebben ons prima vermaakt. In de keuken, naast het gasfornuis (waar op wordt gekookt) een ouderwetse op hout gestookte grote oven, die voor een behaaglijke warmte zorgt. Hout is te koop bij de eigenaar en daar is hij niet kinderachtig mee. Verder heerlijk gewandeld in de omgeving. Direct vanuit het huis zijn een aantal wandelroutes uitgezet. Verder is het huis schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Kortom een aanrader. Lekker ko ... Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar met koekjes en fles bier! Lekker koel huis, wel wat donker. Maar we zaten door het lekkere weer toch veel buiten. Rustige omgeving, ideaal voor te wandelen. Eigenaar woont andere gedeelte van het huis (garage tussen beide woongedeeltes). Maar eigenlijk niets gehoord. Eigenaar spreekt wat Engels. Grote tuin met genoeg schaduwplekken.
