We would like to inform you that on the right side of the property they are finishing of 2 new villas so you may have some building works going on. this could end by November when the villas should be finished. The spacious open plan lounge and dining area with floor to ceiling windows & leads on to the well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom suite consists of a large ensuite bathroom with sunken bath and a lounge area which leads to a private balcony/terrace, with electrical window shutters operated from the bed to allow you to relax with the sun streaming into your room. FREE WIFI Internet access available in the villa. Villa Libelula is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday, and is within a short walk of a restaurant and bar and children's playground, and within easy reach of a supermarket, a couple of Tapas restaurants & a bakery. There are three lovely sandy beaches in Las Tres Calas all within a 5minute drive of the villa, as well many more along the coast. We provide an onsite office, 24 hour emergency contact, and all of our villas are registered and comply with the Tourist Law 159/2012\. Villa Libelula registration number is: HUTTE – 000812\. This region of the Costa Dorada is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and unspoilt regions of the Mediterranean coast. For beach lovers the coastline offers an abundance of stunning blue flag golden sandy beaches and quiet coves. PORTAVENTURA, the largest themepark in Europe, Ferrari land, and water parks are within 25minutes of the villa (by car or regular train service from L'Ametlla). The magnificent city of Barcelona is approx. 90mins away. The villa is very easily accessible with Ryan Air and Jet 2, Thomson/TUI operating flights from the UK, Ireland and Europe to Reus only 30 mins away, Castellon 1hr 15mins away. Then there is Barcelona 90 minutes away, served by a number low cost airlines, from Europe, the UK and Ireland including; Easy Jet, Ryan-air, Vueling, Norweigian, BA, Level, KLM, Swiss, Luftansa, Eurowings, Iberia, Air France etc…. Valencia and Girona airports are also only approx. 2 hours away, also offering low cost air-lines. The pretty fishing villages of L'Ametlla de Mar and L’Ampolla are a breath of fresh air, rare gems in the Mediterranean coastline. L’Ametlla de Mar is located within a 5-10minute drive of the villa, it is a popular destination for couples and families who return year after year to soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town which has retained it’s authentic charm. L’Ametlla de Mar offers a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. An ideal location for a relaxing drink in the sunshine, or on a warm evening in one of the tapas bars, traditional fish restaurants, or international restaurants on the port, where you can watch the catch of the day being reeled in. There are many other fabulous harbour towns and mountain villages steeped in culture and tradition nearby. A little further a field you will find the historic cities of Reus, birthplace of Gaudi, and Tarragona with it’s beautiful Roman Amphitheatre. Then not forgetting the magnificent city, of Barcelona where the influence of Gaudi has made Barcelona one of the most impressive cities in the world. For a relaxing day out, the Ebro Delta nature reserve is within a 25minute drive and is truly stunning, it is world renowned for the rare species of wildlife and birds. The beaches are incredible, the sand dunes were used as the setting in the film 'Sahara' starring Penelope Cruz and several music videos. There are also lots of routes to take up into the picturesque mountains, where you will find lots of pretty mountain villages and views that will take your breath away. We particularly enjoyed dining on the terrace and could sit for hours enjoying a glass or two of bubbles! We loved the pool, sparkly clean and rather large compared to other villas we have stayed in over the years. The village is a short walk, where you will find local shops, bars and restaurants and a great bakery. Closer to the villa, is a nice little restaurant and bar with play area for children called Bambalina, ideal for just a drink (great G & Ts) or lunch/dinner. This was our first time renting a villa, and it is definitely the way forward for our family. We were there with our 2 kids and the grandparents. Aircon throughout the house, quiet and cool :) Absolutely massive upstairs bathroom (more of an apartment!) with a huge bath. Great balcony for watching the stars. Garden is well kept, lots of sitting areas and a fabulous pool. Quiet road and easy access to local supermarket and local bars. Large open plan living space downstairs with well-equipped kitchen, smart TV, extending dining table, bathroom, utility room and two bedrooms (double and twin). Upstairs is a very large suite with king-size bed, sofa bed, balcony and large bath (not shower) room. All bedrooms and the living area are effectively air conditioned. External sun blinds (some electric, some manual) help keep the house cool. Lovely outdoor seating area under cover seats 6 and is shaded apart from late afternoon. The pool is great and is nice and deep - not heated, but didn't need to be in August. Brick BBQ is good too, if a little exposed when the wind gets up. All in all a great base for a holiday. Not within walking distance to the beach with children but a very quick drive (5 mins). Half an hour to Tarragona and Portaventura, 10 mins to the Mercadona supermarket (far better and cheaper than the convenience supermarket in the estate). 1.5 hours from Barcelona airport. ##### Andrew P. We were pleasantly surprised to find the villa now has air-conditioning in all three bedrooms and that there are 2 new lovely comfortable sofas. We were grateful for a few essentials in the fridge, and the toiletries which saved us having to go straight to the supermarket. Second time around the villa was equally as clean and well presented, in fact we enjoyed the villa even more like a home from home. We explored the local area more, and went up into the mountains and visited a spectacular gorge. We found the villa to be just as described, if not better. The master bedroom and suite was ideal for us to relax in total luxury. We were 7 people aged 3-70 and there was lots of space and fun for all of us. Both the indoor and outdoor area are very spacious. The kitchen is very well fitted, which is not always the case with rental houses. The bedrooms have good beds, which especially the older members of the party valued. The bathrooms are spacious and luxurious. The pool is big and quite deep and both young and old spent a great deal of time in the water. There is also a fabulous beach less than 5 mins drive from the house - calaforn beach, which is definitely worth a visit. We had almost all our meals on the covered terrace, enjoying the garden. Martin and Sara were ever so helpful and answered a lot of questions prior to our stay. Martin was the one welcoming us upon arrival and he spent a lot of time making sure that we had all the information we needed. All in all a wonderful house which we can highly recommend. ##### Hazel W. It is ideally situated in a quiet residential area & only 10 minutes walk to a nice restaurant and childrens park. Having a bathroom each (we were a party of 2 couples with children) was great. The view from the terrace of the mountains was picturesque, the little town of Ametlla de Mar is lovely. Family Villas provided excellent service and advice & I'm reluctant to say more in praise of Villa Libelula in case it gets booked up next summer - we'll be coming again! ##### Mick J. Everything you need is provided for (greater variety of equipment than my own kitchen!), useful English sockets are installed alongside EU sockets so you don't need to carry adapters around with you and entertainment of all kinds is available (TV, stereo, board games, books etc). The barbecue was used on a regular basis best food I have eaten for a long while! Perfect location close to beautiful beaches and local shops. For city lovers there is easy access to the motorway to visit other cities on day-trips. The pool is beautiful as is the rest of the property and very private. The week flew by and we were very sad to leave. We will 100% be returning in the future, thank you for a very relaxing enjoyable holiday! ##### shanie c. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house in a nice, quiet location not too far from the airport. The house was spotless upon arrival with all facilities working perfect and we certainly made good use of the barbeque and pool in the hot spanish weather. Would reccommend to all. Very accurate directions and being met according to the timed schedule made for a very stress free beginning to a relaxing break. The accommodation was immaculate and the pool maintained very discretely during our stay. Plenty of local information to hand in the property and a comfortable stay for us and our two boys (10 & 12 years old). Will definitely return in the future. ##### Mike D. We felt so reassured by your professional approach to the booking process. I have already recommended your services to our friends and family. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Libelula. The villa was a luxury villa just as it had been described. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and the local beaches. And our day trip to Barcelona was marvellous. We had a very relaxing holiday at the villa and really enjoyed our time in the Costa Dorada. We had a lovely holiday last year, we loved the villa and the garden and pool, we spent many evenings making the most of the warm weather with a barbecue followed by drinks on the veranda. It was a perfect holiday for our family, plenty to do if we wanted to and plenty of relaxation when we needed it. We totally recommend the villa and the area, and the service given. We found the customer service offerd throughout our booking process marvelous and this continued during our stay at the villa, we were so impressed that we booked with sara and martin again in august and had another fantastic holiday in another of their villas (villa marilyn, which we also highly recommend). The villa and pool were clean and the facilities were very good. The beaches in the area are fabulous and the local towns lovely. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxury villa. ---
