Lovely Hotel, staff excellent very friendly,beautiful breakfast.I would highly recommend it

The hotel is close to town and has a shuttle. The staff is exceptional, as is the food and setting. It is the quietest hotel that I have ever stayed.

The staff were very nice. Hotel style is cute. Unfortunately the noise makes it very difficult to sleep. Walls are very thin so you hear everything and my room overlooked the trash bins and you could hear every time the gate was open. Further, the headboard to the bed was stained and gross. Lastly I understood there were no closets but there’s also no luggage stand so either you’re accessing your suitcase on the floor or keeping it on the bed.

Screebe House is a beautifully peaceful getaway. We had a gorgeous view of the water. At night looking across the water was very little light. It was so peaceful. The food was very good with great portion size. Breakfast was included with a small buffet plus a made to order hot option. Dinner was a 2 or 3 course choice. I did an appetizer and main and walked away full and satisfied. The second evening we let them know that we were exploring and went to Kylemore Abbey and the Clifdon. We did not use the spa or pool but we did check out the pool and it was in a lovely spot (indoor and saltwater) we did go down to the pier and dipped our toes into the cold sea. There is a ladder for those adventurous ones who want to swim. I would definitely recommend the Screebe House to anyone looking to get away from it all. My only complaint is no air conditioning- but that is only because we come from an area that everything is air conditioned. But I would go back in a heartbeat!
