Everything was exceptional, from the thoughtful staff and beautiful interiors to the canal-front location and the lantern provided for evening walks. It was truly a five-star experience and an unforgettable, authentic Japanese stay."

"Kotohira Onsen Onyado Shikishimakan was 1 of about 8 hotels we stayed at over about
2 weeks in Japan. While all the places we stayed were good, this was the best. Their onsen is outstanding as were the meals. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience the Real Japan!"

"The Japanese style room overlooking the ocean was very nice. Staff was plenty friendly and the food was good - actually liked the breakfast more than the dinner, but both were solid. The baths were really pleasant as well. The property could use some updates here and there, but it was a nice place to stay overall. "
