"One of the very best places to relax as a couple. My wife and I stayed four nights at the start of our honeymoon. We checked in after flying and started with their Asmara Jaya spa treatment, which was the very best spa experience we’ve had anywhere. A body scrub, full body massage and a bath, full of flowers and petals in the spa, with a bottle of wine was great value and the perfect way to begin our stay. We were in one of three jungle view villas with a pool and it really was the most beautiful room and outside space. I can’t imagine a better setting. All the staff were really keen to help and the hotel put on some nice daily activities, entertainment and complimentary sundown cocktails. The main pool area was stunning and the best we’ve experienced anywhere. The food was excellent, with a massive variety of choice and the breakfasts were some of the best we’ve had. You can choose more than one cooked offer as well as from a fresh buffet. The coffee is also some of the had. The only possible criticism would be that some of the staff could have done with better training. One struggled to open a bottle of wine or champagne and we sometimes needed to top up our own glasses. They are lovely and their will is there though, so I’m nitpicking as it didn’t put a dampener on our stay. Location is not that central to Ubud, but they offer a free daily shuttle should you want to visit and the setting is amazing with all the amenities you might need for a relaxing stay,"

"My boyfriend and I just got back and we’re already counting down until we can return. From check-in, the staff went above and beyond — everyone was so sweet, and it felt like 5-star Michelin treatment the whole stay. Our room was cleaned twice a day with a lovely turndown service — cute notes and sweets left on the bed every night. The room had a beautiful outdoor shower and bathtub, perfect for a romantic touch. When our TV had an issue, staff replaced it immediately. Free water was restocked daily. Breakfast was incredible — so many options, but we couldn’t get enough of the fried rice and bihun goreng plus made-to-order coffee included free. It kept us full until dinner! Room service was also quick and delicious. Can’t recommend Kamandalu enough. We’ll be back!"

"Staff was very helpful and everyone from cleaning to pool were very nice. The pools were amazing, especially the adult only one. We tried a few experiences: Teppayanki: great taste and friendly chef, was a lot of fun. Only negative is the sauce maybe been a bit too buttery In villa dining: the staff set up a nice table and BBQ in our villa. The food was fresh off the grill and delicious with very generous portions."

"You guys this place is a must the amount of details that they go through and the staff and how polite they are is beyond. It's really what made my stay so special here I checked in for a solo trip and when I arrive late that night, they had set up a happy birthday sign on the bed that made me feel so special and they also put flowers in my outdoor bathtub I mean the details of this was just too much to not love"

"Not a big of a deal but water leaked from the shower room into the toilet area. It would be helpful if there are more towels placed in the room. I requested to leave extra towels in the room for the second night, but they didn't. It worked out ok. All the hotel staffs are nice and friendly. They are very helpful. The hotel gave us such a warm hospitality. I would stay there again."
