While the hotel is largely quite clean the pool was often filled with debris. I know the winds are high but to clean the pool once a day isnt the best service from a 4* Hotel. Situated on the edge of a brilliant small town with great beach clubs - punda coast and Rebel at Golden beach it's ideally situated. Rooms are basic and could do with modernising. Our balcony door wouldnt shut and I told reception yet nothing was done about it so there's a security risk there. There was a large chap on reception when we arrived who was very sarcastic to me and my wife and without saying as much that he didnt really like english people. Strange. We are always very polite to people yet felt he was cold and unwelcoming and from the 5 hotels on our trip this was the worst of the hotels. Breakfast is good. The two chaps who run the taxi service there - both fantastic and friendly as were the bar staff too. The day after our arrival none of our taps were working and when reported to reception we were told the turn them off in the mornings to refill the pool - I've never know this before - especially from 9-11. Very odd. Overall the hotel is okay. Its not brilliant but not poor. Would we return? Probably not as there's loads of better options around the area.

The property is amazing, idyllic and very well maintained. The room is spacious and the staff very nice, helpful and very responsive to any kind of communication. We really enjoyed our stay!

The best thing about this property is the location right in front of a beautiful beach and walking distance to restaurants on the beach or on a small harbor. The property is not so well kept, but still cute. We are a family of 4 and the connecting rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only cons were the drawers of the dresser weren’t clean, one of the ACs was very loud, and the bathroom is very small. The space to shower in is tiny, with no overhead shower (only a hand held shower), with only a plastic curtain, hence the water overflowed on the bathroom floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful! They provided beach towels and a beach umbrella, and were flexible with check out time. It’s a good deal for the price.

Great hotel with the most accommodating staff, and Ana-Maria is amazing and very helpful and always willing to help. The owner Marianne is so nice and generous. Strongly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Calme Hotel, and it deserves a 5-star rating. That said, there were a couple of minor areas for improvement. They did not affect our overall experience, and I would still highly recommend this hotel. I simply want to mention them so future guests can decide whether they matter to them. The first is the location. The hotel sits on top of a hill, away from the beach. The views are spectacular, but since we enjoy swimming in the ocean, we ended up driving to the beach every morning and then back to the hotel afterward. It's also a fair distance from Naousa, where we had dinner almost every evening, so we spent quite a bit of time driving. The second was breakfast. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the à la carte service was quite slow. I understand that, as a boutique hotel, a full buffet may not be practical. However, a small self-service station with coffee, tea, bread, and pastries would make a big difference. Waiting for coffee or bread refills sometimes took quite a while because the server wasn't always nearby. Other than these minor points, the hotel is exceptional. The service is impeccable, with twice-daily housekeeping and thoughtful touches such as chocolates left on our pillows each evening. Those little details made us feel truly pampered.
