Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kroksjo?
The best area to stay in Kroksjo is by the lake, particularly in properties offering direct access to the water or with views of the Kroksjön lake.

This area is the heart of Kroksjo's appeal, characterised by its natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. Accommodations here often include private jetties, small boats for hire, or direct access to swimming spots. The focus is on relaxation and outdoor activities, with walking paths and opportunities for fishing readily available.

For families, staying by the lake is ideal. Children can enjoy swimming, building sandcastles by the shore, or trying their hand at fishing. Many properties offer spacious grounds for playing, and the calm waters of Kroksjön are suitable for paddling or gentle boat rides, providing plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will also find the lakeside area perfect. The quiet setting allows for romantic walks along the water, enjoying sunsets over the lake, or simply relaxing on a private terrace.
When is the best time to go to Kroksjo?
The best time to visit Kroksjö is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm and conducive to outdoor activities, or in late autumn, around September and October, for those who appreciate the changing colours of the landscape.

For travellers looking for a classic Swedish summer experience, July and August offer the warmest temperatures, averaging around 20-25°C. This period is great for enjoying the lake (Kroksjön) for swimming, fishing, or kayaking. The long daylight hours, with the sun setting very late, provide ample time to explore the surrounding forests and enjoy nature. This is ideal for couples or families wanting to make the most of the natural beauty and outdoor pursuits.

If you prefer a quieter experience with stunning scenery, late September and early October are excellent. The autumn foliage transforms the landscape into a canvas of reds, oranges, and yellows, making it a beautiful time for hiking and photography. While the weather is cooler, around 10-15°C, it's often crisp and sunny.
