The Gaestehaus appears to be on a narrow alley in the middle of the town. We could barely squeeze our small car into the alley, and there appeared to be no place to park. We rang the doorbell and knocked several times, but there was no answer, and the place seemed dead, except for a neighbor lady from across the street, that seemed surprised to see us. Tired, and with no response at the door, and looking at the difficulty dealing with the narrow alley and a rental car, we decided to find a place elsewhere. We found excellent accommodations - a bit more expensive - but worth it - a the Pfeiffer hotel about 5=10 miles up the river. I don't begrudge the landlady of Lurger - the place may be adequate for a lonely traveler with a bike or traveling by bus and on a budget - but this was definitely not for us. ##### diana Stayed 1 night in Aug 2022 ---
